I have a question about what ammunition the Iraqi Type 69IIA used in the Gulf War, because the ammunition it has in the game seems too old to me, knowing that the Type 69IIA is from 1982.
Yes, some Chinese players have already submitted Type 59 APFSDF
I read that China had the dtw2-100 apfsds ammunition as an export model for the Type 69 IIA, which I don’t know what statistics it has. It would be nice to give that minicion to the Type 69 IIA and incidentally make it Iraqi, which was after all The country that had more units in service of this model.

In fact, according to the instructions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, all PLA shells of the same caliber and type must be universal

Projectile Length: 472mm
Armour piercing part length: 382mm
Armour piercing part diameter: 36mm
Tungsten core length: 77mm

In game this rounds is implemented as APDS…
From NORINCO
Primary Armour Piercing Projectile has 1435m/s muzzle velocity which is clearly referring to this 100mm Type 1959 APFSDS round
Further Note
Type 69-IIa was introduced with 100mm Type 1959 APFSDS in the early 1980’s
In early 1990’s the Chinese started producing the DTW2-100 APFSDS which is license produced M1000A1. Finnish T-55M already has it in game.
My Proposal for the game
Type 69 at 8.3 with PT-71 APFSDS (smoothbore)
Type 69-I at 8.3 with Type 1959 APFSDS (Rifled)
Type 69-II at 9.0 with DTW2-100 APFSDS (Rifled)
PT71-100 APFSDS: 142mm @ 0m (60)
Type 1959 APFSDS: 115mm @ 2000m (60)
DTW2-100 APFSDS: 175mm @ 2000m (60)
gaijin must make 2 versions of the type 69IIa an early and late version (post 80’s) like that gaijin is no longer bothered by the potential change of Br and in addition to that we obtain a new type 69IIa
exchange the premium type 69IIa so that it obtains its DTW2-100 and put a new type 69IIa (early) in the common tree
Keep in mind that the Type 69IIA was an export-only model, and its primary user was the Iraqi Army, so the most reasonable approach would be to change its skin to an Iraqi Army one, and give it an APDS-FS with its resulting Br increase.
Then on the other hand, for the Chinese tech tree, two things could be done: one would be to give the ZTZ59A an APDS-FS (the model is from 1984) and increase its Br, and the other would be to add the Type 79, which has already been passed to the devs in the suggestions section.
yes it is normal that the tank shows in Br it will go in 9.0 since it is very comparable to the T55M since the DTW2-100 is the M1000A1 under license, the type 79 is another subject but I am not against the Russians having 10 versions of their T 72 and T 80 why China would not be entitled to these multitude of versions for these type 59, 69 and 79 or even type 80
I am not convinced to go with the APFSDS for type 59 since there is already the ZTZ59D1 in 8.3 with a very effective arrow for its Br the type 83 APFDSD is better than the 3B15 of the T72 and competes in 60 degree angles with the 3B22 for only 8.3 Br against 9.3,that’s why I don’t find it relevant to have an ADFSDS on the ZTZ59A because the DWT2-100 on the type 69IIa will in any case be better for these two tanks and in addition to that the type 69 has a better engine and two-axis stabilization
, we also have a modernized version of the type 69 the G but it is a premium I see more a Type 69IIa late in the common tree knowing that it is a Chinese vehicle certainly sold for export but the Chinese still used it and the DWT2-100 is produced directly by the Chinese themselves, I think that a Type 69IIa late with the DWT2-100 in 9.0 in the common tree would be possible
After that, it’s my opinion, I could be wrong
For me,the ZTZ59A and the Type69 IIA, the APDS-FS Type 1959 should be added, since both tanks and that ammunition are from the 1980s, while the DWT2-100 is from the 1990s.
