Does this happen to AIM-9L/M?

I am so tired and frustrated with the performance of the R-27ET. It feels like Gaijin really hates USSR planes.
This isn’t the first time the R-27ET has performed like a piece of brown substance.
I locked onto an F-15 that was using afterburners the entire time, yet the R-27ET suddenly lost track. To make things worse, it didn’t even trigger when it was close to the F-15.
I launched the R-27ET at a close enough range that it still had fuel left, so it didn’t lose the target due to a lack of energy for proper turns. Despite that, the R-27ET had only 14.5G when it lost track.
Really discourages playing random battles.

"R-27ET loses target;....again!

R-27ET feels different this patch, I see it getting one-flared too much.
Might be placebo though-

It is already demostrated that Gaijin did not add countermeasure resistance for R-27ET as it should be.
I stop counting on that.
But losing target and not triggering is too much.

Looks like a flare

No, F-15 did not flare. I forgot to mention that.

On client replay or on server?

I checked both.

Didn’t try 27ET, but tried 24T on Mig23 and…switched to 24R, immediately.
Something seems to be strange with T missiles, but I haven’t played them for a long time, so I may be off, not the missile…

In this aspect the afterburner doesn’t matter at all (and you should NOT expect any flare resistance from front aspect with this) but if he didn’t flare it 100% should have hit

Im going to guess with zero evidence the proxy fuze didn’t trigger, I get this all the time with the radar variant also should have detonated and just flies on past…

it was an issue in the past wouldn’t put it past the spaghetti code to reintroduce it…

Is that an enemy missile I see in the middle right of the first photo?
If so, missiles ingame have a nasty tendency to prioritize other missile exhaust, and that might have caused your ET to break lock. Either that, or the sun is somewhere behind the F-15.

R-27ET lost target after enemy missile passed R-27ET seeker. So, it did not switch to enemy missile, but then suddenly lost the target.
I have also previosly posted other things happened with R-27ET and ER.
It happens too often to play properly in sim EC mode in PvP gameplay.
Going to switch back to PvE.
