Does the 30x173mm APDS default round even exist?

like it’s on everything, and all I can find is APFSDS-T and no mention of the APDS round found on everything

Edit: maybe it’s MK320?

I can imagine 8.0 fox wrecking anything but with 150-160 pen fin sabot instead of apds

Looking through a number of manufactures it seems the APDS isn’t very common though, Ordtech is to be the only one I can find that offers it, most only seem to make the APFSDS or explosive/ programable rounds.
So entirely real, just less common ammo type, or maybe just older and not widely produced any more.

Yeah that what I thought - almost entirely replaced by APFSDS for better performance

This seems like it could be the round due to weight and speed being correct, but I would be curious if most countries don’t just use the TP-T round with the same ballistics as the APFSDS-T, would be painful if a bug report got out, huh. Considering the replacement would probably be HVAP or SAPHEI.

There definitely are 30x173 apds, although they probably were not quite as common as the apfsds

Yea i cant imagine APDS being very common on 30mm guns after the mid 80s. Darts were the standard for pretty much everything going into service by then
