This isn’t the place for political discussions. Cut it out, everybody.
Yet I see Chinese dropping the N-bombs almost every other game. Stop being a little cry baby
Just so we are clear… that’s wrong no matter who does it.
The problem is, some Chinese players think rules are for others, and only in their personal favor.
Correct if I’m wrong there’s no flags or decals referring to the ‘rising sun’ Japanese Imperial flag (with the tilted sun and sun rays all around) besides the white background with the red sun centered.
I’m not talking exclusively about the Chinese community however this sentiment of patriotism is one of the unhealthiest things in War Thunder community — Just because the another nation in the game is or was enemy in a conflict or did something terrible at some point in time it’s not a excuse to lock content to being implemented to the game.
The Ukrainian, specially, ground tech tree and majority of others ex-Soviet republics tech tree concepts are an good example: players from these nations doesn’t want to be represented in the Soviet Union just because of patriotism pride, as if Gaijin will create a whole new tech tree to fit their desires instead of going the quickly way and just put the behicle wherever is more realistic.
Ukraine couldn’t be in the Russian tech tree past 1991 though…
Modern Ukraine is not part of either Russia, nor the non-existent Soviet Union anymore.
Ukrainian stuff would be fine up until you got in to modern era… then you’d be putting German and British tanks and American fighters in the Russian tech tree. Which would be asinine.
The safest option is to simply not add them, period. No one gets insulted, and no tech tree gets things it shouldn’t.
This is the problem, at the same time was wrong on my part bringing this discussion but it’s just an example. At the Soviet Union, in the short term is the best and more realistic approach. Regarding British, American and German tech in the Soviet tech tree is also absurd since people are ignoring that Ukraine has a whole military industry but the same people are only considering the post-2022 events.
At the long term Ukraine would probably be just like Israel, not much content, could be an United States sub-tech tree but now as standalone, it’s ok, everyone accepts at this point. But with Ukraine there’s two paths: Implementation of unique vehicles to an existing tech tree or implementation of an whole new one with, certainly majority of copy and pasted content. Surely there are unique machines but, again, Israeli tech tree case is an example. (Or not being implemented is also an option as you said.)
At my point of view Israeli tech tree was stretched to the limits with Magachs and Merkavas from top to bottom to be considered and standalone tech tree rather than a sub-tech tree which could gave more room for unique vehicles.
Well either way I think we’re way beyond the scope of a thread that shouldn’t have been started in the first place.
Similar to the VT4 issue, Gaijin should just add an Eastern European tech tree to solve the issue. Gaijin should not be implementing vehicles to countries that would hurt the sentiment of a part of the player base. Gaijin should be more sensitive and aware of history regardless of whether it is in Europe, Asia or elsewhere.
No. Gaijin should do the same thing with vehicles from other nations such as Ukraine. I did not say that the Chinese are superior to anything. You’re just making things up because you dislike the Chinese or have met certain bad Chinese. However not all Chinese are like that.
I said you are placing Chinese lives and Chinese sentiment as more important than others.
I do not “dislike Chinese.” You can’t even argue properly because you are nothing but rhetoric and agenda.
What I “dislike” is this Beijing narrative you are forced to push constantly. Which, by the way, a lot of white Westerners do to, and I “dislike” it just as much then.
Based on what? Your opinion? Opionions are for people too lazy to learn and too weak to have real faith.
There are many reasons why good employers have to pay a lot more for really qualified staff to work as expat in China - and contract durations are shorter.
