Does premium give you extra Crew XP?

I’m talking about if you get 1 kill in 1 battle with a F2P account and get 1 kill in 1 battle with a Premium account in a tech tree vehicle, would you get double the crew XP with premium or the same as a F2P?

No. At least, not directly.

In realistic and simulator modes, 1 crew XP is gained for every 100 RP.

In Arcade, you earn 3 crew XP for every 100 RP gained.

Now, since premium doubles your RP gain (well, base RP gain - it doesn’t double skill bonus) it will indirectly double crew XP rates as well.

just confirmation, having premium gives you more crew xp even if you get the same amount of kills as a f2p?

Correct. At least 100% more with premium time alone, or higher if you are using Premium Time + Premium Vehicle. Anything that increases Research Points increases Crew XP gain. That would also include RP boosters.

RP Bonuses are not double. With Premium Time it is 100% higher. All RP bonuses are additive, not multiplicative.

HOWEVER, there is a Silver Lion multiplier on Premium VEHICLES. You can see the math on the stat sheet, there is a yellow 2.0 OUTSIDE of the parenthesis on premium vehicles, Thus, premium VEHICLES DOUBLE the effect of SL boosters, while all RP bonuses are “only” additive. (All RP bonuses are INSIDE of the parenthesis, and thus are added together, not multiplied.)

Furthermore, Premium Vehicles DOUBLE the SL bonuses that you get from Premium Time. Even further, you get an extreme SL bonus when using Premium Time + Premium Vehicles + SL boosters. ALL SL bonuses get DOUBLED by Premium Vehicles.

I always use all of the SL Boosters I get with my favorite Premium Vehicles. 10% SL booster becomes 20%, and even the 500% SL Boosters become 1,000% SL Boosters. Simply too many extra SL’s to use SL Boosters on anything but Premium Vehicles.

You can check and see the math for yourself when you use boosters. Hover over a tech tree vehicle and then hover over a Premium Vehicle. You will see the difference in their % bonuses.

Here is an example between 2 vehicles, both with a “base SL” amount of 0.5, this is in Ground Arcade, but doesn’t matter. The Premium Vehicle will always be 2x SL %:

Tech tree vehicle with 0.5 SL Base:

TT Vehicle:

  • 0.5 x (100% + 50% + 30%)
    0.5 x (180%) = 90%

Premium Vehicle:

  • 0.5 x 2.0 x (100% + 50% + 30%)
    0.5 x 2.0 x (180%)
    1.0 x (180%) = 180%

I have Premium Time and a 30% SL Booster active, the Premium Vehicle doubles the result. Result: 90% SL boost on the TT vehicle, versus 180% SL boost with the Premium Vehicle.

Also note that the 100% RP bonus from premium time is only added, not multiplied. The first reason they are different is because the base RP’s are different between vehicles, 1.3 versus 1.24. Second, the Premium Vehicle comes with a Talisman already added, so that is where the extra 100% RP comes from.

Premium Time RP bonus is only additive.
