Do you think AESA radars will be implemented as LPI or will they be visible on RWR like normal radars?

We even have an mechanical radar with LPI(IRL) - longbow

Would it still show up on RWR if it was a ton of different emissions of different strengths all hitting simultaneously?

Yes. The Tornado F.3 had an LPI mode Gaijin haven’t modelled.

Curious how low the PI is on a single emitter radar. I think if anything like this is added to the game it should come only in the form of LPI for search only, LPI with tracking or guiding missiles would likely be bad for gameplay.

yes

if I throw 20 different sized balls at you would you notice that?

No

RWRs do not trigger on every pulse they receive, otherwise they would have an incredibly high false alarm rate from triggering on background noise all the time. An RWR typically needs to receive multiple before it triggers an alert in order to tell that it was not just random background noise. If you have a radar which is constantly changing frequency, using low transmit power, and a complex scan pattern it becomes very hard for the RWR to work out what is random noise and what is a radar.

But we don’t need to speculate. We have a report from trials of the Tornado F.3’s LPI mode and it confirms LPI radar modes are indeed effective:

During trials the low probability of intercept (LPI) characteristics of AI24 when radar CX0 (FA mode) was selected became very apparent, very low detection ranges were achieved even with the high sensitivity of this receiver, implying that the probability of detection in search by a less sensitive receiver system is low

Depends on the environment, If I am getting constantly pelted with randomly sized balls with random force, but they all kinda fall within a specific threshold of size and force, I may or may not notice if a few of those balls are slightly larger or hit slighter harder, but I will definitely notice if a single huge ball hits me really fucking hard.
