Do you play Naval if so how often?

Yeah… I do agree. I love naval, but I can only play a few matches before getting bored. Though the same is true for Air and Ground. Gaijin really need to add some dynanism to all their gamemodes

Thing is they have even given us different modes before to try even in april fools then we never see them again lol… like why even bother, its like I mentioned earlier to someone because we were on about naval mines and I dont see why they even bothered with them when 1 as they stated 1 of the british ships can only carry 40 when I think they said it can carry 240 or something above and below deck and same with another think it was russian one irl that and the fact them only lasting 15 minutes… he tested it doing a harbor in EC and he lay down a line of 2 sets like 1 covering the other’s gaps and by time he finished it had been 15 minutes and 1 by 1 they started de-spawning :/ and that harbor wasnt even big tbh. I just feel like if there going to bother like that why even bother at all since believe gaijin said its due to engine limitation or something like that so not like its fixable just a waste of dev time if anything imo

I did give a little kick towards them trying to compete with Cod at this point though as a joke but honestly the way the game is going especially map wise Im starting to actually believe myself :/ and I kinda hate that considering I really wanted this game to succeed and be really damn good

The thing is when I say stuff like that I kinda want people disagree and give me reasons Im wrong about it, when they tend to agree with me though god It makes me feel crap knowing what I was thinking was right :p, Kinda why I did the vote for naval because it just feels bleh now tbh then when you go back look at the results its like ahh I see Im not the only one :((

Idk if you remember this one I did but even with 158 thats still kinda bad that 70% of people all agree :/

I do play Naval often specially when it has some Major changes, but I always refuse to keep playing considering the terrible map I’m forced to play while doing Coastal which is one of my favorite in-game and has more potential of better and longer range weapons than Bluewater if we consider that more modern vessels is added in the next few updates to concretize this idea that I have. If it had some “Coastal only option” I’d play, some Coastal maps people never ever played like Drowed City since it’s exclusive to Coastal branch and these maps are very cool.

Currently:

At the time of this post I’ve been playing RB NF with two other CLAS group squidron members, I’ve once again finished the soviet coastal TT (although the ships are all bluewater like the rest of the “coastal” trees) by unlocking the last Small Anti-Submarine Ship (MPK), in this case the Project 11451 (huzzah!!, now where’s that Project 20380 you devs teased back on the 10th anniversary?) & have help win many matches with these players.

TT question:

I don’t view the tech trees as such two trees, they’re still a merged thought imo as afterall 90% of ships & quite a few small vessels are ocean going bluewater vessels not coastal.

Mode question:

I would prefer EC but I’m stuck playing RB yet never liked AB due to the spam of torpedoes & speed boosts ntm now the terrible new UI.

I enjoy fast & slow combat, hell I remember crossing the widest part of the english channel in a 13kt ship & that was slow. But it does suck that EC hasn’t allowed sub 3.3 vessel since the iirc second ever EC test.

Unfortunately the current mode mission types are just downright blend & a copy of GF mechanics, it doesn’t help that legitimate AI can cap zones resulting in unfair win conditions for some teams.

The ticket bleed is also far to much, especially for slower vessels which makes capping impossible & can lead to short matches while still near spawn points aka most landing craft & dreadnought players minds (internal screaming at the tickets)…

Thoughts on mines

I personally believe contact mines should last longer than fifteen minutes but the techies state it’s down to server limitations. Soooooo if your vessel is slow & used in EC, then you might as well not spawn unless as a last ditch defence.

Currently for the Ex Yugoslavian minesweeper Zmaj now Drache under Kriegsmarine flags takes fifteen minutes to lay all of its mines, by the time the last one goes off the stern the first mine self destructs…

(I wish it had its Flettner Fl 282, same for Königsberg class cruiser Köln, that would tie well into your spotting point)

Ehh screw this last part, scrapped out of fear of repercussions.

I wish that the " How Often if so " poll had a fourth vote that says rarely, because sometimes just isn’t a good enough answer for how little I touch naval because it just isn’t fun to play.

With the spotting btw I was thinking like you have spotting in normal tank modes so just put that on a plane but you need to be in a certain range lets say 5-7km?? maybe idk and it marks them on the map just like on the tank mode(The aircraft would have like a reticle you need to place over the target to say maybe a bomb sight or something like that?? with a slightly longer cooldown than the tank one due to the flying aspect ofc and maybe a limit of say 2-3 spotted at once so its not insanely powerfull)

Also I was going to maybe put something like that but due to Forum limitation’s Ig?? you cant change a poll after the first 5 minutes :p, Itd make me delete it which pretty sure would scrub the votes already on it sadly to put another option

I voted TDM and Conquest, as I am fine with what we have now plus I like capture points as they can act like a point of interest for ships smaller than CAs and above to have something to do besides get blown off the planet from 15km away, it’s not fun being a DD in an “Encounter” map (also I don’t think “Fleet Ops” would work well in Gaijin’s structure…)

The only reason I said those 3 is I couldnt really add any more later and didnt realise till then :p, also I dont mind them It just feels to repetitive + the ticket bleed is waaaayy to fast in all game modes imo kinda similar to how nuke’s are tbf there so common no a days if there doing the score nuke thing just do what Call of duty do and say like 15-24 kills to get it, would make it more rare and would also make people who got it feel a little more proud of themself.

Basically was trying to say there is no variety in game modes atm hence the repetitive, maybe adding a few different ones such as as we mentioned “fleet ops” or something like world war mode but for more casual players or maybe even a capture the flag mode :p honestly I dont know if people would like that but would definately shake things up

That and with how fast people can get nuke’s now a days that also kinda ends GRB kinda fast at I think if I remember right is 5.0 and above I think

Naval cap ticket bleed is stupidly fast…

Thats why I mentioned the float plane thing lol I dont mind if someone spawns one as ofcourse that requires points but instantly launching 1 of a ship and capping its game over in less than 2 minutes and thats not an exageration either they could maybe make it so ship floatplanes can scout Similar to drones in top tier but cant cap so that way it would also give people an incentive to bring their own plane into the game and use their points to bring it in then allow the planes spawned by SP to have the ability to cap as it would be a little later and they would need SP to spawn it first anyway + they would be a lot more carefull as if they lose that that need more SP to spawn another

Sidenote this same game lost connection like 30 seconds after taking the first screenshot :/ and please dont say its just me btw as Naval is the only game mode I have consistent connection issues(Lets not lie to ourselfes, Naval gets the 💩end of the stick server wise imo as even gaijin knows its bad) + the crew lock with no option to join back…
