Do you guys think missile launches are done wrongly?

I love the r73 as an example (thrust vector ftw) but i think the thrust vectoring engages too fast pointing the missiles thruster into the bottom of the plane or letting it shoot through it. This happens with other missiles too but its not as noticable. If it isnt an engine limitation how about giving the missiles a little bit of hangtime before their thrusters engage or/and limited launch angles because the missile yeeting itself off and through my airframe surely isnt healthy.
