Do modes and ranks/BR's affect crew XP?

I was wondering if the selected mode (ab/rb/sb) and ranks/BR’s affect crew exp gained. I heard that it should be 1 point per 100 RP for RB and SB, and 3 points per 100 RP in AB. Is this still true? and also, does ranks or BR’s affect the ratio? cause i find clubbing AB with the 3 I-15’s give like a average of 3500 RP a game with no boosters or premium, and was wondering if it gives less points than playing another tier, like say tier 5 or so.
Anyways, does vehicle rank affect crew exp gains? like is it universally 1 / 3 points per 100 RP or does it also depend on rank or something, like is there a penalty if you use low tier vehicles?

Modes do.

Arcade gets 300% crew XP.

BR, by itself, does not.

However, BR has a correlation with higher economy modifier, so the same action gives more RP which in turn translates to more crew XP.

Using ASB (rounding to nearest hundred),
A6M3 (3.7 BR) gives me 2000 RP per 15 minutes, 2500 if I land. I cannot exceed this.
F3H-2 (9.3 BR) gives me 3100 RP per 15 minutes, 4600 if I land. I cannot exceed this.

As such, using the F3H-2 earns me best-case 46 crew XP per 15 minutes versus just 25 with A6M3.

Thank you.

Crew XP are computed from raw vehicle income. So if the vehicle has a low modifier, but you perform well in it, you may end up with more crew xp than in a higher tier vehicle, in which you perform poorly.

That seems false to me.

I get 10K RP for a sim match, I get 100 crew XP. If it computed off of raw vehicle income, I’d get far less XP.

I tested it in GRB:

image

1666 RP gained. I made sure to survive the full match to get clean data so respawns don’t interfere.

Conqueror crew slot had 0 crew xp before starting (395 XP, I had a skill to dump 395 XP on exactly. There’s likely been some invisible decimals)
Conqueror gives 190% RP economy bonus, therefore we’re expecting
1666 / 1.9 = 876 base RP, thus 9 XP gained.

18 XP afterwards. This also explains how the decimals are treated: they’re carried over.

Let’s go and test in ARB with F8E (screenshotting star XP because i can’t zero it out):
image
232% RP economy modifier.

We got 13162 RP.
We did get a skill bonus (5641, so let’s subtract that: 7541)

With 232% economy modifier, it’s:
SKill bonus: 5673.3 if we had 100% economic modifier
No skill bonus: 2431.5

Thus.

We’re expecting 56/57 or 24/25 more crew XP

I think this concludes the statement that the vehicle’s economy modifier is not taken into account for crew XP as false.

In fact, we’re getting more crew XP than predictions hold. Rather than 302+131=433, we got 450

I’m yet to test in ASB but I don’t believe it’s needed. Reason I am yet to test is the matches there take too long to wait for payout. I’ll keep an eye out next I got time for an ASB match.

You got me wrong:
With raw income I am refering to the listed module earning which includes all vehicle intrinsic data (talisman, premium, modifier, booster…) which is not altered by any research or lineup decisions you make. This income may then be adjusted by tree succession, rank, tree end arrows and such, which have no effect on crew XP.

If I perform well in a vehicle with low modifier, I can still get more crew XP than if I perform poorly in a vehicle with higher modifier, even if I research the target slower. It isn’t the applied vehicle research that counts for crew xp.
