Right, so should apply all things, but I don’t have any docs on the armour (hull). Do u have anything? I know about ERA, but still need to be able to fend off dm23 at least.

T-85UG hull. Its armor should be same as T-85IIM.
It seems to have a thin layer of composite armor in the UFP.
should be similar to ZTZ96 or ZTZ88 in game then, a bit disappointing cause that would be sth like 300mm vs KE and 400mm vs HEAT. I am wondering whether the ERA could do anything, cause if it does, it is at least DM23 (105) proof, which will be huge considering the number of tanks with it.
Which ERA does it use? FY-2?
If it gets FY-2 then it might be able to deal with 105mm DM23. Most players are going to shoot at its massive LFP. So the composite armor and ERA isn’t going to be that useful.
I finally was able to test-drive VT-4A1 and I took the time to check its armor more in detail, and… jeez.
Worse armor than ZTZ99A/WZ1001/EVEN ZTZ-99-II AND worse mobility than MBT-2000/Al-Khalid…
It gains no advantages over 11.0s, instead, it’s even worse- and somehow it’s 12.0. Not to mention the missing spall liners, but that goes for all Chinese MBTs.
But the UFP being unable to bounce anything even at 86º angles is just too ridiculous. I’ll pass.
Literally, it’s an Al-Khalid with worse mobility forced to be 12.0 because of an APS.
Ignoring the inaccuracies of how Gaijin modeled the VT-4A1 it is objectively not a 12.0 tank.

Maybe if it got its spall liners and had its proper and functioning armor effectiveness and coverage (both glacis/LFP and UFP), it could be a quite decent 12.0; but, as of now… barely 11.0.

Maybe gaijin will take pity and give VT4 from Thailand and Pakistan 11.7 and it will at least somehow resemble an adequate BR
Although, it seems like both have 1200 HP engines, which makes it even slower
Indeed- and also FY-2 instead of FY-4; so they are practically MBT-2000s with better thermals.
In any case, those su trees will go to Japan anyway- but yeah, not looking forward to those unless they are 11.0-11.3, hahah.

Thai VT-4 would be worse than the one we have in game. Thai VT-4 has FY-2 ERA and it even lacks APS. However Pakistani one would be better as it has FY-4

Pakistan VT-4 is pretty much VT-4A1 without the APS.
It’s definitely a high-spec version.

I hope gaijin won’t give it 12.0 BR like VT4A1. China has so many MBTs in life, but gaijin stubbornly ignores the fact that between 11.0 and 12.0 it does not have a single tank

I heard that Pakistani VT4 has 1200hp engine. Is it possible that it uses MBT 2000 transmission?
Well, it is missing like more than half of other vehicles such as AFVs and IFVs, not to count what Norinco showed off for export.

I mean, it might use an uprated transmission (the same as on ZTZ99A) but I’m not sure.
