Ah I see.
Still cant figure out Paveway IV though so I think its either bugged or unfinished

After a restart it works now, and seems to be a nice feature - just wish it was implemented for more aircraft.
I think it would have great potential also for navigation etc.
However, what I see as shortcoming atm is that there’s no visoalisation apart from targeting equipment and map window, as far as I could see. The points are not even shown on the moving map displays, which at least for some aircraft should definitively be the case.
Can anybody check if any aircraft have symbology linked to Steerpoints, like A10C, F16C, F18s should all have it. I wonder if Gaijijn will link aimpoints with steerpoints (symbology on HSD, MFDs, HMD).
No, that was one thing I was also hoping for, but my fear was confirmed that this is not the case.
Hopefully this could be implemented in the fututure, who knows!
Generally, the trend we see could actually point that way: First we go the possibility to set SPI via the map, now twe got multiple aiming point that can even be edited - a logical nect step would be to use this symbology also for other things - but that WILL require the information also presented on other instruments / displays.
That’s one of my major gripes with how cockpits are implemented: Too many things a pilot needs to rely on are only displayed as GUI overlay, but not on any cockpit gauge, sight or HUD - which basically means that if you fly in Sim you will not be able to use that technology in any useful way.
Yes, that’s probably the case, as more detailed MFD pages, HUD and HMD symbology is added we might expect Steerpoints to be displayed in the cockpit. Same goes for ARM aiming and symbology.
I’m having a ton of problems using split racks (GBU32s etc) on the F/A-18F… It’s only dropping for the quantity of stations, not the quantity of weapons. i.e fully loaded down with GBU-38s will only drop 6-2-2 despite there being 10 munitions on the aircraft. Not tested with SDBs but no doubt they were using those in internal testing…
Bug report [DEV] Splitter racks do not work with Aiming Points // Gaijin.net // Issues
Unrelated, but there needs to be tooltips for keybinds…
+10
Just tested with SDBs on the GB Gripen, still the same bug - only dropping for the number of stations on the aircraft, not the number of aiming points/munitions…
interestingly enough im trying this out with the hammers and while I can get it to work on the m2k-rmv I can’t get it to activate at all on the rafale
Try a restart. It was working fine with GBU-39s for me with the SAAF Gripen C
Just did, same problem… Using “Add Aiming Point” bind (though am using the map), clicking nothing else until hitting Salvo Launch, only dropping in groups of 4 or 2…
Hmm… let me retest. give me 5 mins
Hmm… It worked for me earlier, but now its only deploying 4 and splitting between 2 of the designated targets.
Looks like the system is heavily WIP
Glad to know I’m not going insane… So long as it’s sorted I don’t particularly mind, was just a bit of a let down to rock up with 10 GBU-38s and only have like 6 of them drop onto barely any targets lol
Or with a weapon system like PW4. Nothing at all
I need the ability to do JDAM lofts in my Tornado GR4
Hm, I guess there’s no list yet about what aircraft got that feature, no?
Shall we start?
Is it aircraft specific?
I thought it was just all aircraft, but the salvo only works for GNSS weapons.
It is… You can’t do aforementioned lofts in the Tornado anyway because it lacks the feature 😆
