Pavel Sukhoi was born on July 22nd, 1895. From his youth, he aspired to become an aircraft designer, and in 1925 under the supervision of Andrei Tupolev, he defended his diploma thesis and in 1930 became Tupolev’s deputy. In 1937, Sukhoi won a competition to create a light bomber (later called the Su-2) and received the ability to found his own design bureau. In total, Sukhoi developed more than 50 aircraft designs.

About this aircraft
The Su-7B fighter-bomber was developed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau in the late 1950s. The Su-7BMK is its export modification which received many improvements and two additional hardpoints. It can carry up to a 2,600 kg payload, including bombs up to 500 kg, rockets and incendiary bombs. Due to its high speed, the Su-7BMK can destroy enemy bases and retreat before enemy fighters reach it.
