Let me type it again:
It’s ground vehicles decoration.
You cannot use it on aircraft. You cannot use it on vessel.
You can use it on ground vehicles only.
That’s why it require to use ground vehicle to unlock.
This is the way.

What will hinder you if the player receives a decorator and cannot use it? This is just a cosmetic decoration and does not provide any obvious benefits.
Maybe the player is not interested in tanks, but he thinks a particular decorator is cool and wants to get it for collection, why prohibit this by forcing him to play in a certain mode?
The same can be said about any other events. In other games, like WOW, you can get an in-game item that the current character basically cannot equip due to class restrictions. And nothing, this is not a problem for gameplay, but there are no unnecessary problems for collectors.

We should play a game because it’s fun – not because we need to spend 40k mission points worth of time to unlock a cosmetic item!
Gaijin has long ran out of ideas to make their game fun and they won’t do it for obvious reasons. That’s what I have a problem about ! We are consumers !

Well, that is why I try and collect as many random premiums as possible. Especially from the Warbond shop. And I try to unlock as many trees as possible up to tier 3 specifically for stuff like this. If you want to skip the grind, you can buy one of the premium Japanese tanks that are on sale right now.

Yup, so use the spread sheet above to prepare yourself for upcoming events. There is always a way to prepare and/or skip the grind. Waiting until the last minute is not Gaijin’s fault 🤷♂️
I have many complaints over the grind in many bits of war thunder and how they extract maximum amount of time from players but 40K score over 7 days to get 2 body pillows?
That’s what you want to complain about?
Needing 6K score a day if you pace yourself?
And hey if you don’t want that you can just get the first one which is only 20K score, it is 3K a day too much as well?

Around 10 okay battles (AB of all places) using something like the JPN M24 nets you the first decorator.
I agree, this isn’t a particularly hard grind at all.

wow…so you think that them dropping surprise decorations is predictable dude, normally I don’t care about these things unless its something related to America but this is an exception and its a surprise one at that why would you think that anyone would have expected a dmm exclusive item to become available globally? because I only learned of it yesterday from one of TEC’s videos
Look friend, if you really care, you have a week. You should get to grinding immediately instead of spending time on the forums. Final suggestion, you could get one of the Tier 2 premiums, really low cost even not on sale, and grind up to a Tier 3 tank. Or if you have premium time, you probably have plenty of time to grind up to Tier 3 within a week without a premium Tier 2/3 tank.
If you do get a Tier 2 prem, once you get at least 1x Tier 3 tank, you only need to use the Tier 3 tank once in the mission, and you can still use the Tier 2 premium(s) and you will get mission points towards the task while using the Tier 2 tanks:
Getting one of Tier 2 prems should be easy to grind with, only need to get 1x Tier 3 tank:
