Disappearing CAS

Situation: Ground arcade, map irrelevant. The option to fly light/medium or medium/heavy bomber comes up for selection and I select either one. The little plane icon with the timer appears and counts down. 3…2…1…nothing. NO PLANE, NO CAS. My ground vehicle is still alive, it was NOT killed, yet the aircraft went away and more often than not, THE ENEMY SIDE got that plane. This latest mission I played, not only did the enemy get the plane that was counting down for me but bombed me with it and destroyed my ground vehicle.
What gives? Why does this happen? I’ve seen this occur multiple times, especially over the last month, but today was absolutely frustrating and disgusting, getting bombed by a plane that I should’ve received.
Can ANYONE tell me WHY this happens? I would appreciate an answer from the Gaijin team.
Thanks in advance.

There’s a few reasons this sort of thing happens, but it depends on the true situation that makes it happen.

When you choose a support fighter, and the player who spawned the bomber or the attacker are unopposed by the enemy (AKA they didn’t even try spawn aircraft), you don’t spawn your fighter.

Anything else though you’d have to show some footage of how it came to happen, then it could be seen more.

Yeah Doc, it wasn’t a fighter. Curious though, would replay footage display player CAS selection? I don’t recall seeing that before in replays. Maybe it’s an “under the hood” thing for tech support to look at?

Best footage would be a video of your viewpoint, I don’t know about the replay itself, but it should show something for sure.

I don’t watch many arcade replays.
