Why did they put these pea shooters on the PUMA when they had these monsters? Is there any hope for a oerlikon light vic?

A) I’m going to have to assume you mean 35mm Oerlikon KDA cannons found on the Gepard and similar, as Oerlikon is company, so saying Oerlikons is fairly useless lmao
B) No German Army used IFVs, The Japanese Type 89 IFV already in game has a 35mm Oerlikon KDE cannon though. Otherwise they did test the Rhinemetall Rh 503 dual calibre cannon on Marder 2, with both 35mm and 50mm barrels available. Before realising for IRL use 20mm & 30mm based systems are a good bang for buck in terms of cost, ammunition carried, and effect on target. Iirc theres a Marder chassis with a similar gun and autoloader to the Italian VCC 80/60
C) There are some more 30/35mm SPAAGs to pick from: SkyRanger 35 (Boxer, Leopard 1, and Leopard 2), & Wildcat 30. And probably more I don’t know about.
No, the Chassis is just too small, the closet you’ll get is the Recoilless 30mm, both a just gun, and gun + ATGMs are available. Wiesel 1 RMK 30 is the name.

Also do the smaller caliber oerlikons have the nice fast fire rate or at least better than the one on the puma? My main gripe with the puma is the rof.
