I guess the Gaijin just ignored it.
They usually ignore these types of bug reports for years.
also gimped range, ive seen an old range chart credited to hughes aircraft and raytheon that would indicate ~12km range from static launch at 1km alt but tested in game and the missile hit the ground at 6.5km
You can try to make a bug report about it, but it would probably end up getting ignored. Its suck that they left mavs is such a state they would be much better if they would fix them

hughes website has been taken down and ive not seen it on an official raytheon site so my only evidence is a couple of articles claiming that the image is from them
static as in 0 IAS so it should line up (if anything downdraft from helicopter would slightly reduce range as opposed to hovering AV8-B+)

edit: repeated test with a launch angle of roughly 30 degrees and it hit the ground at 7km still much shorter than the ~13km indicated by that chart
