@Smin1080p_WT if players are saying that the Jean Bart is the best battleship for france, you saying that we should wait a bit, some naval expert are thinking of a addtion of a paper ship, people are not happy, people are furios of a toptier premnium that is actually at toptier br and better then tt, even tho gajin said that prems are a bit worser/weaker then tt, how does the devs handle this? How do they make the game better frlm these statesments? ( just curios ;) )

And also, if the devs know how muxh we do not like toptier premniums additons, why did they choose to start the first devblog with the jean bart, a premnium, and better then richeliu?
Some people have speculated that we are going to see a ship with anti-ship missiles for top tier bluewater france. But that won’t happen for obvious reasons… (does no damage to armored targets)
Maybe we will really see one of the Alsace-class even if they were never built

I’m honestly not sure. There’d be more fanfare for carriers, missile cruisers would be hard to BR… do the Alsace-class maybe sneak under the wire for being completed designs that were scheduled to be laid down before The War Happened…?
AFAIK all other things are completted except number of autocannons and crew complement
A copy paste Jean Bart in the tree that would somehow be better maybe ? There’s none afaik, especially since the premium one will be the post war comissioned version, but at this point no option makes sense, be it an other JB (no better variant), Alsace (not even laid down), or a missile slinger (not powerful enough, though something like a Suffren with 48x Masurca and L5 torpedoes could be quite annoying)
This isn’t accurate as the Iowas were recommissioned twice after Jean Bart’s (1949).

Well Gaijin made “laid down” rule so Soviets could be competitive . That means Gaijin can change the rule so other tech trees could be more competitive at the top tier.
Alsace-class was planned to be built if the war didn’t start so soon. And I think design was finished or nearly finished.
They might need to break the laid down rule or Germany, France and Italy are SOL. Germany oess so since H39 and I think H40 were laid down to some capacity.
France had Gascogne planned, Alsace and whatever else.

This isn’t even the first time for naval. The premium cruisers back in the day (mikuma,prinz eugen, belfast, helena, etc) were all top br when introduced, but placed at a lower rank than their tech tree counterpart.
Selling the end of the line BB for france now is a bit of a slap in the face, but it was rumoured to happen last year around update Leviathans. (As well as a preimium Vitorrio, so let’s see what happens with that)

The BR not being public doesn’t mean we don’t know what it’ll be. It’s the third ship of the class on game with the other two being 8.3, the highest BR for a ship currently in the french blue water tree.
