It’s more the fact that Gaijin has lied and ignored feedback constantly.
People BEGGED Jean Bart to be tech tree and Clemenceau to be the potential premium.
Gaijin has stated, verbatim, ‘we will not sell top tier premium vehicles’.
Jean Bart, which will almost guaranteed to be 8.3, is top tier for her respective nation.
I almost expect this post to be flagged but this is getting tiring that a decent chunk of the playerbase is trying to help improve the game and we’re constantly being ignored at best and silenced at worst.
First of all, thank you for your answer. You’re right, saying you were ‘lying’ was probably a bit too harsh on my part, and I apologize for that, especially for my first post. My English is a bit shaky, so I might have used words that were stronger than what I actually meant. I know you guys always do the best job possible, and honestly, Smin should really just enjoy his holidays to the fullest! ^^ It’s definitely not your fault.
It’s just a massive shame. The Jean Bart is my absolute favorite battleship, and I was waiting for it to finally have a reason to continue grinding the French naval tree. Seeing what is arguably the most anticipated ship of the tech tree and the last major one available become a premium feels like a hard pill to swallow. It feels a bit like Gaijin is just saying, ‘Here is the ship you wanted, it’s 80€, and we have nothing else planned behind it.’ It leaves us with no viable reason to keep progressing through the French navy.
The hope of getting something bigger down the line was exciting, until we realized that Gaijin just hadn’t planned anything more. It’s a shame that they make your lives harder as community managers by not giving you at least the minimum amount of information needed to prevent this kind of situation.
Thanks again for taking the time to reply and for your work!!
You’re right, and I’ll probably do the same thing in the end, but it’s just sad. And I’m sad because it’s the ship I was most looking forward to. But yes, it allows everyone to have the best possible ship right from the French tech tree.
It’s sad yes but knowing how gaijin operates in respects to france not surprising at all. Though my willingness to even pay half the price for a ship that is absolutely chanceless vs a certain “realistically implemented” soviet battleship that has 1 more hull section, about 6 seconds faster reload (Repeat that mantra after me: Reload time-Soft Nerf stat-Reload time-Soft Nerf stat) for 200 kg heavier shells with 110 mm more penetration point blank and double the TNT filler WHILE having armor that makes it almost invincible AND way better accuracy AND a SAP shell thats (pen wise) about as much worse as the Richelieu/Clemenceaus APHE as the two respective APHE differ from each other might fade a bit in the year until it goes on sale. Not rly sure if all of that warrants a measly 0.3 BR increase but oh well what would war thunder be without blatantly overperforming vehicles huh? 80 € lmfao
Be careful not to mention the vast fleet of Russian Phantom battleships that dominated the oceans. Frankly, I hope all nations receive the same treatment as Russia regarding ships whose plans were never finished or were only partially built. I’d like to see the German H-class battleships, their paper value, or even the Yamato. And not the realistic version lmao
I mean what im getting at with this is that basically everyone (well maybe bar the people that only want to spam their overpowered not-to-be-named russian atrocity) would benefit from better balance especially in the top tier environment of any wt gamemode, where stuff cant get uptiered anymore to see even stronger enemies. Even the snail.
I had no interest in naval, yes big bote big boom, long snuip, bismarck till maybe 3 years ago. But getting into it, reading about all those historic ships, what they actually went through in their service life is interesting and imagining what the people serving on these ships went through. This makes basically every ship interesting historically and makes grinding these in game an achievement and finally crewing them exciting.
Now will i really spend this amount of money on a ship only for its historical value when i also enjoy playing somewhat competitively in naval ec (or at least do my best to do well and win the match with my team) if the enemy team can just spawn an iowa or even worse a sojuz that my 80€ ship (or the tech tree ones at 0.3 BR lower) can do nothing against if played well and the match is basically just done deal if one of these appears? I thiiiiink…objectively probably no??? I mean why would I? Ofc its everyones own thing and everyone can do or not do with his/her money (almost) whatever he/she wishes, its just…the incentive would be a bit bigger no?
Two H-39s were laid down, but Yamato and Musashi are already in the game (although I guess if they don’t do carriers and decide Japan needs a third top tier they couuuld do Battleship Configuration Shinano?)
Albatros in this game have 4 MM38 Exocet in 2 dual mounts like some where on the middle of the ship
so many coastal ship with model of the Anti-Ship launcher but it just there
Jean Bart need to be in the Tech Tree with this announcement.
Cause, sadly, this is a lie.
BVVD said not premium better than TT vehicle.
And what happen ? You are going to sell a ship that is going to be TOP TIER and Sightly better than tech tree ships ?
With those reason, she have to be in the Tech Tree !
Instead of Shinano, Japan could be given a fourth Yamato-class battleship, No. 111. Is it possible that Shinano will be converted into an aircraft carrier in the future? (At least I REALLY hope so.)
There’s also the A-150 super battleship. But it’s more likely to be the top of the line.
What I meant was that ships like the Project A150 (Super Yamato, I’m not sure if that’s the official name) could be added to the game, and also the H-39, etc., based on the same principles as current Russian battleships. We use theoretical values on paper, but in reality, we don’t know what the budgetary costs and other material shortages would have done to these ships.
One of the online silver coin items will be replaced with a gift pack, and the existing Jean Bart will be put online. For now, this is the most likely scenario—but it’s just a fantasy.
Yes, the same as ships like the H projects and the 110 and such. If they never redesigned a ship to account for budget and material issues after it was laid down but before the project was cancelled, that’s not only acceptable despite the issues but is in fact the only version of a design that can make it into the game (Provided the design itself is physically possible, of course, but it generally wouldn’t have been laid down if it wasn’t at least possible for it to be built at all given a spherical resource supply on a frictionless industrial base)
Full thickness plates were based on importing from Germany. Had the project continued after Germany’s invasion of Russia, lesser thickness plates would have been used.
The Jean Bart isn’t just a sister ship to the Richelieu; it’s a much more modern ship that outperforms it in almost every aspect (speed, underwater protection, reload speed, gun accuracy, and anti-air armament). It’s a true improvement over the Richelieu class.
Seeing this ship as a Premium vessel that outperforms its regular-tree counterparts in every area, while also being the current French top-tier ship, would be a disgrace to the game. And what would be even worse is if the developers were forced to reduce its historical performance by nerfing the ship to make it inferior to those in the regular tree.
