[Development] Nuclear Escalation: The Fight Continues!

but then no one can bring their planes they want to fly out with the top BR vehicle.

@Smin1080p_WT Nuclear escalation keeps getting connection to the server was lost message, then get kicks me out

It would be 10x worse than current CAS in ground battles, Tanks will be evaporated by nukes after nukes, it’s very easy to take down SPAAs in nuclear escalation

This mode keeps kicking me out of the server. Please fix the server issue as soon as possible.

pls bring this gamemode back once the stable patch is out, mannnnnn

I was hoping we’d finally have selectable nukes, but it seems we only get preset nuke planes from GRB. Aren’t the EF-2000s able to carry nukes?

Most important for me : COULD WE COMPLETE DAILY TASKS/EVENT GRIND in this mode?

BRs should be going down, not up.

Id rather play this game mode with BRs 7.7-9 7 and 10.0-12.0 instead of 13.0 on up.

This game mode with top BVR missles is just going to turn into a BVR fight where SPAA will kill you if you venture too far to the front line.

In this gamemode why wouldnt i just sit back above friendly AFs slinging AIM-120C&Ds, R-771s, PL-12s, or AIM-54s at people trying to venture into the actual objective.

Raising this to a top BR is just going to kill the game mode because all it’ll take is a few players sitting back slining fox 3s at players who are already trying to defend against the SPAAs and you suddenly have an unbeatable defense.

I’m juat going to sit with the Iranian F-14 slinging Faukor 90s or an F18E slinging AIM-120Ds at anyone trying to make a B-line fly at the AF.

They should nerf the SACLOS spaa accuracy. If dodging a OSA was hard, cant imagine a Pantsir.

Sure, but those are robots, not people

And that’s why you bring SPAA to your lineups : )

Currently, the armor mainly uses infrared-guided weapons for attacks. Compared to the previous Hwasong, you have almost no warning time. The 13.0+ gameplay mode is basically a death sentence. I don’t understand why Gaijin keeps placing a bunch of 20–30 km range anti-aircraft units on the frontlines, and any counter-radiation measures are intercepted.

This!!!

The most a front line or convoy should have mix in with it is short range SPAA that is either gun or IR based.

I can understand aome SACLOS AAs withing the static building defense, but long range radar based AAs should bit behind the line of conflict around important assets like AFs.

I mean it can added but i would rather play ground battles because i don’t want to suffer 10x i already suffer cause of CAS in ground battles

the worst part is that they have their radar closed all the time so you cant use the anti radiation missiles

I tried nuking with the Su-24 ( i failed and i dont thing a lot of people will make it either) so i am proposing the introduction of Nuclear Cruise missiles (thats most of them are kinda stealth) so you will be able to drop them

The Kh31/Yj91 aren’t even in the same class as the bluefor ARMs, all you have to do is takeoff from the airfield and launch at the SAMP-T and it will reach it at 1100m/s, HARMs or ALARM just’t can’t do that.

The developers never designed this mode with gameplay in mind—they only focused on creating a dense battlefield to resemble a conflict front. This is terrible, especially in the 13.0+ environment. Unless they keep all SPAA radars permanently active and disable infrared-guided attacks, NATO and Warsaw Pact forces will never be balanced. Otherwise, the anti-radiation gameplay in this mode will be a disaster. Once it goes live with a large player base, you’ll not only have to avoid surface-to-air missiles but also air-to-air missiles. Imagine 10–20 missiles coming at you, forcing you into constant evasive maneuvers throughout the match—how utterly boring. Plus, we don’t even have electronic warfare for SEAD suppression. Right now, the priority should be to reduce the density of air defenses while removing systems like the S-300 and Patriot. Long-range air defenses with 30–80 km range should be deployed at the rear airfield (e.g., HQ-11, Buk-M3), with Pantsir positioned in the second line. The frontline should only retain original systems like the Hwasong or Tunguska, with their radars permanently active instead of only powering on when targets enter range.

Can the developers give an insight into the reasoning behind ARM choice for bluefor vs redfor? In the first Nuclear Thunder it was AGM-88A vs KH-58U, in the 2.0 version it’s kinematically the same AGM-88C vs a ramjet powered KH-31PD/YJ91?

So people complained last time about the AI SPAA being broken OP and instead of doing something to address that you swap them for more potent SPAA that can not only fire and hit you from incredibly far away but also intercept every single munition fired on them? Nice work.

[13-14.7br]…
So what you’re saying is that the British can’t bring a single one of their indigenous strike aircraft, you know, the ones expressly designed to do exactly what this mission is about.

Only aircraft in this range are 2x mostly useless pure A2A, 2x Australian copy-pastes, South African Gripen and the Typhoons which lack their actual functioning weaponry.
What a brilliant idea.
