ok mate straight to the stats i see take this to thread that is on topic
wtf is this guy on about? lolol
I’ll make sure they are all on the list later
minor problem with your argument:
I actually have the Gripen. While I by any means don’t have swathes of matches in it, I have flown it enough to have a decent grasp on how it flies, workable strategies etc etc.
So you know, might be worth checking a detail like that before presenting a wonderfully convincing counterargument in future
@Tristacomand if u refer to my comment and use the link, it’ll take you to WT Heatmaps. I’ll link here for your ease: https://wt.controlnet.space/
America at the moment is performing the worst out of any of the nations at high BR battles according to that heatmap. That said, I note the recent release of the M1A1 Clickbait and suspect that the downward trend in terms of performance above BR 10.7 starts to go down the drain.
It is also worth noting performance in US Ground was also not that good before the patch.
Why that is, I wouldn’t really like to guess.
dry facts such as the hstvl being better than the 2s38 because of more pen
By definition, you’re only actually notching the radar if you’re forcing them to look down as well as flying perpendicular.
The data is taken from Thunderskill. That website simply displays data ported over from Thunderskill. Hence why I refer to it.
If you read the Thunderskill website in the original language (Russian) it says this.
“Эта статистика собирается по игрокам заходившим на наш сайт и не может применяться для указания на проблемы разработчикам, так как не является полной.”
Or.
Better data is available.
That K2 Krabiwe video everyone should have seen by now.
Uses a better sampling method and a lot of samples. Despite only being a 4 day period they apparently sampled more than half of all matches that occured during that time period, straight from downloaded replay data. It contains more information about the match.
Thunderskill simply reads your profile, counts the vehicle stats and tallies it between the time periods.
Since Thunderskill hasn’t been updated to collect data on any vehicles added after the Kings of Battle update (It also ignores helicopters, for some reason) it’s just not really worth paying much attention to. It actually never was, but people wheel it out when it shows NATO suffering, because it’s showing people want to see.
In which case disregard my last.
Too bad for your work and reports being labeled as mere “suggestion”. It’s basic knowledge from now on that gaijin will just brick themselves with things they wrote in blog, the same as in Leopard 2A7V and Abrams case and reports that have been closed right after.
I can assume they refuse to give 2A7V correct armour because it’s already one of the best MBTs in the game but in Challenger 1/2 and Abrams case it’s just don’t make sense.
Abrams is still good when played correctly with it’s reload buffed because it have mobility but Challenger? Oh god it’s free RP and SL at this moment and it gets one shooted like crazy. Buffed side armour would help a lot, I think it would be very tough in 30 degree arc when this NERA is labeled as 100ish mm at 90 degrees. But it will not change fatal weakspots this tank has from the front.
I am sceptical, yes but after seeing how snail is approaching western tanks armour in past couple of months, I just cannot be optimistic
We suggested regenerative steering like 6 years ago and they didn’t come up with a solution how to implement it in the game since. This alone would be massive upgrade to Challenger 1/2.
Another thing Chally side NERA armour was tested against autocannon fire, basically designed to stop low caliber and low energy APFSDS shells so how it would react when struck by “full energy” MBTs APFSDS? It’s still provide “full protection” as labeled( decreasing APFSDS penetration potential by exact number the same as Kontakt-5/Relikt does in game, in this case ~100mm) or it’s just a gimmick in this case?
But anyway @Legwolf good luck. I want to see tough and “challenging” Challenger in my scope so go on and keep up !
It is tested in line with STANAG 4569 requirements, up to Level 5, which is 25 MM autocannon APFSDS at 500m distance, 30± degrees off centerline of vehicle heading. It’s not designed for long rod penetrators like seen in MBTs. Just autocannons. That said, the KE protection should be 84mm at 67 degrees. 104mm at 0 degrees.
Agreed!
This actually doesn’t concern me at all. This is standard proceedure as made clear by Gaijin. These are not bugs, but suggestions. Bugs are issues with the game code. Suggestions are changes to working but flawed values. They made a blog post on this.
The Abrams has very little evidence to support SEPV2 has the protection people claim. I looked into this too.
Haven’t done much in the way of Leo 2A7V research, but gameplay wise this tank rocks and needs no further help.
That’s not the claim. ASPRO-HMT is a hybrid ERA/NERA applique armor, that can stop up to a maxium caliber of 25MM APFSDS fired from an autocannon. at 67 degrees impact angle (30 degree heading), it should stop 84mm of KE. At 0 degrees it should stop 104mm the round encounters more passive plates and higher defences. I’m estimating roughly 20mm more KE for 104mm.
No, but extra spall liners, ammunition rack correction, more CE and KE for ASPRO-HMT and an armor rework will.
Being pessimistic doesn’t make things change. What I am doing does. It requires research and time, so keep your chin up.
I fully intend to :) Thanks for the support.
Great work btw
Thank you! 🧡
So gameplay wise it would provide a little buff, half of the protection of Kontakt-5 basically that is being crippled by modern long rod APFSDS anyway. So side shots to sprocket area, in 30° degree arc from the from the front would still be lethal. At least if modelled correctly LFP will get some additional protection
Of course, now on Challenger gets fatal ammorack when you shoot the hull almost anywhere, it founds charges and setting it up. For me it’s easiest MBT to one shot right now in the same place when Abrams is.
This isn’t the intended threat to defend against. Kontakt is designed for MBT protection, TES is more like TUSK in that it prevents SOME KE, but mostly chemical munitions. Its just rated to stop 25MM cannon rounds. Nothing that comes out of a tank or anything.
Side shots with 25mm would not be lethal, you’d be immune to IFVs essentially.
For first couple of shots I think it will. 100% sure they will model this with “HP” modifier in code the same as Leopards add on. But I would rather have it working as intended for couple of shots than have 30mm of protection like now.
TES should basically be near unkillable by something like a Heli right?
Well, you know, at least from my experience, hellis are above where they are shooting roof and engine deck, where no armor package is installed. But that might be just me.
This is why i first spawn gun spaa for my team
Nah, not really. Top attacks from ATGM will kill TES. Its roof is quite unarmored. No ERA up there.
