[Development] 2S19M1 and 2S19M2: Vengeance Is Mine!

Oh yeah!
I forget about them… Well, they are C&P and foldered anyway. The Italians did need them though!

Its sad that the nations who actually need SPAA arent getting them. E.g. France, Japan, Israël and Italy. (Mostly top tier, but France, Japan and Italy need more SPAA all around).

Type 99, and the Pzh2000 are very new arty systems, and are 7.3 / 7.7 respectively.

Although I do agree, all these arty systems could use a bump up by 0.3 br, and i literally mean every arty in the game.

But seeing as how they’re modeling this Russian arty with 15mm UFP RHA… which again, I don’t think is accurate, I’m sure it would be terrible to fight, it may be annoying, but at least it cannot flee like a type99

id bump every self propelled artillery piece up by 1BR rating.

I agree that sounds like a load of rubbish, the steel skin on the outside of T72 is about 60mm. they probably wont remove that as well as the composite. the vehicle still needs some structure at minimum. not sure of how much of a difference this will really make either due to the insane angle, all HE slingers would one shot it anyhow and all tanks arent gonna aim there

Because nothing was removed. Its not a T-72 with armour shaved off, its a new hull loosely based on the T-72/80 profile and sharing parts with both production lines. And being artillery, the new hull didn’t need anything more than 16mm.

Structural elements inside the hull generally aren’t included in the damage model. They aren’t armour-grade steel and they aren’t everywhere, so no real impact on protection.

In any case you have to expose the turret to do anything, but at least with something over 15mm you’ll survive an HMG

These vehicles are NOT meant for a direct fire role so just LMG proof is generally the benchmark

I never said they were. But 15mm will hardly stop splash from arty

15mm of steel is about as strong as 30mm of aluminium and that is deemed acceptable for recce vehicles. once again not a direct fire vehicle. if itself is getting shelled its already over as everything else collapsed

I’m more or less worried if a 250 kg bomb lands 25 meters+ away if I’m going to just get evaporated.

POV 1000lb bomb lands 500 meters away:

meanwhile British 1000lbs bombs landing directly on top of a panzer 4

I swear the TU-1 has dud bombs 😂 I’ve watched some of them land on top of or under T-29s and other tanks, and just get a “hit”

Ive dropped a 500lb bomb into the turret of a ostwind and it didn’t die. i feel you

For real though, I hop into my A-1H and spam 500 lbs all over the battlefield, and I swear the furthest ones will kill a maus or something.

I killed a maus with a 250lbs bomb from a mk24 spitfire but a 1000lbs bomb on top of a KV1 wont do anything at times

I’ll do you one better. 100Lb bomb landed on the track of a Chuchill.

Any vehicles with the ‘green artillery ID’ like the ATGM carriers, SPH’s, and TD’s are all classified as types of AT system.

ok that wins.

I’ve killed a T29 (US heavy) with a BF-109 50kg before XD

It was the front track bit too that extended past the hull, I tried to hit an spaa near him, but over shot, it had me dying laughing.

I really would love to get a toilet bomb kill one day without pancaking, but it seems impossible with the trajectory of the toilet.

I’ve dropped in front of a moving Kugelblitz so he drove on top of my 2000lb bomb so it detonated right underneath him and it didn’t even track him!
I’ve also seen an open top SPAA get hit by a PE8 bomb and when the smoke cleared, he’s just sitting smack bang in the center of the creator still happily dakka dakkaring at the PE8.
