That is NOT Oplot-P
Oplot-P that was trialed in Pakistan is indeed looks exactly like Oplot-T/M because it is
bro did as much research as gaijin 😭
tbf i climbed of the shoulders of giants lol but i wont deny i made a smol house on top
im looking to work on it now, fixing the camo, and making it test drivable
Thank you
Sorry to break it to you but the thing you moddeled is UPGRADE package for Pakistanian T-80UD using elements of T-84, it is NOT Oplot-P lmao. The one who did poor research is you.
it seems i have to teach you…
the upgrade package(s) for the Pakistani T-80UDs consist of the following:
6TD-IIE engine,
Buran Catherin TVD,
and a welded turret
for the welded turret, this is the vehicle in comparison with the cast turret of the Standard T-80UD

the welded turret is clearly identifiable by the change in position of the smoke dischargers
here is a better view
T-80UD/BE
vs
T-80UD
so yes, there was an upgrade
however, only an amateur would mistake a T-80UD for an Oplot
This vehicle has been CLEARLY referred to as the Oplot-P (P for Pakistan because Pakistan demnded changes to the Standard M model (lighter, different side ERA coverage))
again, youre mistaken… severely
You mean this Oplot P trialled?
Pakistan trialled the Oplot M first, then requested changes to the tank that would become known as Oplot P (for Pakistan).
Also @Armen_Lozone the model turned out really great! I hope Gaijin can use it and you get the much deserved reward under their revenue share program.
He really deserve reward after his work, but let’s see what will do Gaijin
I believe Gaijin ain’t reverting crap, and we will end up with trialed copy-paste anyway.
And if this work (which is actually great given the voluntarity behind it) is submitted for revenue share program, the thing will become premium, thus a somewhat unique model will end up as paywalled object, which I believe is a shame
Thank you, that photo helped to clarify things.
Why not add both?
I’m was not talking about UD with welded turret that was made in the last batches of initial contract.
Not necessarily, we have vehicles like the BV 138 and MB.326K through Revenue Share that are in the techtree too.
Both is terrible decision at its core.
Oplot-P is a version offered for Pakistan including changes made for Pakistan specifically. A somewhat unique tank is trialed and not adpoted, yet still unique in its form.
Oplot-M is literally Ukrainian Oplot-M but with different livery on it. This is purely Ukrainian vehicle that was trialed and never adopted by Pakistan, and thus has no uniqueness behind it (especially that it was blatantly copy-pasted from Thai Oplot, just with different letter in name and tt location).
Oplot-M opens that old can of worms that was opened for Sweden only: trialed yet not adopted tanks joining the game. Sweden needed trialed vehicles as it simply had no other options, thus it should have either lack behind others or be on par with others via vehicles not put in service.
Oplot-M sets a terrible tendency yet again as now something like F-14 and MiG-25, which were only trialed by Japs with no modifications involved, doesn’t seem terrible and even more logical for Japanese TT. Or even all of these T-series tanks joining the US TT as they trialed practically every one of them. Soviets getting F-series planes and Leo2s with Abrams they never put in service and only trialed. That’s the problem
Knowing Gaijin, they ain’t sliding top-tier stuff past money flux
Oplot-P opens absolutely the same can of Swedish worms you described since it was also not adopted. But I agree, they should have went with at least modified unique variant. But at the end of the day they butchered hull protection so doesn’t really matter.
Not a bad point. There is some trial vehicles I’d say are interesting, but these are generally modified / developed for the respective nation.
Things like the Thai M41A3 Singray (Thai service M41A3 fit with a Stingray turret for trials), Marder Medium Tank RI (105mm armed light tank based on the Marder 1A3 for Indonesia) or the Oplot P are very unique and interesting vehicles that could and hopefully will be added at some point.
But just taking any unmodified trial vehicle is excessive.
I’d even understand situations like the Swedish AH-64 / Mi-28, where there is no alternatives. But here there’s a choice of a unique Oplot P and they still decided the Oplot M was needed…
Technically true, yet sticking with something unique solves the disputes when it comes to blatant C&P that is more and more evident trend (look at them poor M44/55), and again, I ain’t fan of seeing straight copy of T-80 in the US TT, or Bradley in the Soviet

Oplot-M trials in 2015, while Oplot-P Factory testing in 2017.
