When playing on PS4, I always spawn in around 10-20 seconds after everyone else. I am playing on wifi however when using my laptop (which has a lot worse performance) in the same area in my house I spawn instantly. What is happening and why is the PS4’s game spawning time slower, and how could I solve this?
Well, PS4 is an very old system, sure it works… but when you want to spawn first them either play on your laptop or buy an PS5

If you can SSD that PS4 that could help… I know my spawn times are affected by the load time overall on the drive.
You would also want to hardwire your network, though this shouldn’t be having this much of an effect on the actual spawn time if it is genuinely 20 seconds and not just a 5 seconds feels like 20 scenario.
I’d totally chuck a 20 buck SSD into it if I had one and it would accept it.

please note unless its pro, ps4 won’t fully utilize ssd speed because it being on a slower sata version. It will have less seek time though, and games with open world will perform better regardless.
