Decks vs. Crews

Hello from Germany

I’m relatively new in this Game and my Questin is about having different decks within for example groundforces.
I’m using the standard deck for the latest tanks I bought and want to have another deck with my favorite but lower tier tanks.
What about the skills/trainig? am I losing the skills from the higher tier tanks, when I’m switching to my low-tier Deck?

What do you mean by decks? Do you mean presets?

Each crew has a specific skill level on a vehicle category (for example, ground vehicles). In every preset, with every vehicle of that category, it will retain the same level and playing that crew using any vehicle of that category will improve the crew’s level.
So if that’s what you’re asking, your crews won’t lose skills across different lineups/presets

I think so, in german it’s called decks.

You keep crew level for that category (aircraft, tank, boat) but don’t keep specialization (expert, ace). Note: it’s per slot, so if you have a maxed 109 F-4 in one deck on slot 2, it won’t be maxed if you put it into another deck but slot 3.

You keep the skills for the same crew in the same branch (ground, air, naval). Each crew is numbered and can be reordered in a lineup. Reordering doesn’t do anything except change their visual order.

You can check which crew is which in the bottom left corner of the card.

For example this is crew number one. To the right is the level (25 in this case).

Also please note however that what may change from a vehicle to another is more advanced qualifications on a specific vehicle, that you acquire by buying the “expert” qualification. That qualification will only be valid on one vehicle.
Only the basic skills will be remain on a crew no matter what

Thanks, that’s what i meant. :)
So no expert qualification for my lower tier preset…

Yes all qualifications are specific to a vehicle and that crew.

Yep, unless you buy expert on lower vehicles

But then I’m losing expert for the higher tank, right?

Ok, hadn’t tested it yet.
But when I’m buing a new tank and assign a crew to it on the popup appears a text about "… all qualifications to the other vehicle will be lost… "

When you spend silver lions to get “Expert” training for a specific vehicle, on a specific crew slot, it is permanent. You will not lose that training by making a different preset (deck).

Like the others explained, the only time you would not have that Expert training is if you moved that vehicle to a different Crew SLOT. Not when you change presets (decks).

But again, you will never lose that training. It is always there on the crew slot that you paid for the Expert Training on.
