This decal was seen on the Grumman HU-16B/ASW of anti-submarine warfare of the Chilean air force where they carried radars, torpedoes and anti-submarine bombs. These planes were modified in the United States and arrived in Chile in 1962. The sticker represents the aviation group number 2 of the FACH and is easily distinguishable since it shows a pelican wearing a hat and aviator glasses, there are 2 versions of this sticker both representing the same pelican. In 1990 the decal and insignia of group number 2 changed, since now it specialized in air surveillance thanks to the arrival of the Canberra PR-9, so within the same institution a contest was held and the winner was a badge which represented an eagle watching over the planet earth.
