Deactivate camera repositioning?

Hi guys,

after some years I started playing War Thunder again.

I got a big problem with the automatic repositioning of the camera. I´m playing with virtual cockpit and with a joystick. When I´m flying I´m just able to look to the sides or up & down in a 90 ° angle and the camera always gets back into center position after releasing the button.

I know from back then that there was the option to look around free without the automatic switchback of the camera and not only in 90 ° steps. But I didn´t find the option til now.

Could someone help me please?

You need to set up enable relative control as shown in the screenshots below. You’ll also want a separate bind to re-center (notice how I use the same button for all the various axes! I find it convenient.)

Sth like this. I use keyboard inputs to control camera positioning, but works for other things too.
