Dassault Rafale - Variants, Characteristics, Armament and Performance

No link no proof,… give link instead.
I’m tired of arguing in the wind

So do I brother. The issue is finding sources to back this up.

@Admiral_czech would you be able to share your source for this statement please ?

None target designator pod only

Equipped TALIOS targeting pod

Equipped Damocles XF pod

Carried TALIOS pod like Rafale F3-R ~ F5 standard

Unofficial blog, however shows very real Rafale images. It shows the Rafale’s weapon management station with markers under the wingtips; which, supposedly, didn’t exist.

Rafale with a familiar pylon, this time from a Rafale M in 2013.

News from 2015 where a Rafale with a MICA under the wingtip is very visible, twice. One testbed is not 3 aircraft.

Dassault Aviation’s twitter, 2013, showing the same pylon when stating how various its loadout is.

Rafale F3.3: Emports meaning Hardpoints, describes additional hardpoints, backing up the claim

Its quite clear that the choice of 6 missiles on a Rafale is not a limitation past F3.3, but rather, a doctrinal one to maintain stock and lower cost. This goes directly in-line with the limited purchase of Meteors later on

brimstone would be cool

In game GPS and IIR can be launched independantly, and IIR variant does hove Imager so it caan adjust in terminal guidance, in order to hit the intended target.

Curently AASM thermal imager is none existent for now in game. However we will be able to use the OSF as a FLIR. Report as been accepted. It will have limited downward coverage (since its on the nose), but would be enough to lock and launch IR AASM

Better for knife fights

Unfortunately I don’t think they actually put it on, unlike the exterior pylons and some of the Air to Ground weaponry (None of which I’d pick over AASMs anyways)

yeah, I was afraid that EFT would have an edge in AG due to having 12 brimstones. Thank god they are extremely unreliable at best. EFT keeps the air, Rafale keeps the ground

The Rafale no longer gets its teeth kicked in by a M2K and can actually beat the EF, very nice, still a little work to go though

Yes, i’m french so you know.

PDF from defense.gouv don’t say anything about extended Air-Air Ability, no pictures.

14 hardpoints:
2 Mica wing tips
6 bombs
3 fuel tanks
1 Tgp pod
2 Meteors

2+6=8
8+3= 11
11+1 = 12
12+2 = 14

And here goes your reasonning about hardpoints.

Twitter → the picture isn’t a Real Rafale, but a promotionnal of further abilities of Rafales,…

Such promotionnal pictures are made so countries airforces sees them and get impressed by it.
The objective is to have orders so development can follow,… the same kind of Pictures can be found for EF-2000 and Gripens.

Not a proof of anything, apart that the concepts was already on it’s way, and going for realization of prototypes.

Blog → the picture is still a Testbed,… and searching in the same blog you did(which btw is not a source Gaijin wise)

Shows no integration of those tested pylons on any F.3R

This quotes a 2015 le Bourget, which is the picture you have in the link about Casablanca 2013, and Here’s why we can’t expect a BLOG to tell the truth.

What is the guidance type in game?
I mean there is several type of guidances possible for AASM
Could be be :
GPS+Laser
only GPS
IIR+GPS
(All of those with IOG)

I see nothing stating it as future abilities nor desires for the program to progress. Even if the location of the demonstration is incorrect its still far before the F4 or even F3R and shows many, many instances of carrying the under-wingtip pylons
At this point it seems heavily selective to deny

Welp, MICA-IR better for stealth Headshot long range (Datalink shot)

God,… go to your Sanctified Blog read it all by using the arrow at the bottom,… i didn’t listed eveything i saw when i saw that picture used only show 1 Rafale with this ability, and that picture was used SEVERAL times over the Blog,… (the second visible Rafale doesn’t have missiles but “chonk bomb” on the wing)

Nothing proves that Blog articles weren’t updates way after being made,…

So at that point it becomes ‘Rafale can’t carry more than 6 because that’s what I think’ vs “It can carry more than 6 because that’s what many platforms and posts and demonstrations and official advertisements show”

Truly, the War Thunder moment of all time

You didn’t proved anything,… i told you that your 14 hardpoint argument is a lie, and demonstrated it.
That argue of yours came from the most trustful source you gave to me

You’re telling me bulls and i should laps it as you did?
I’m not, and i know i’m right on this one.
Every trustful sources point out Rafale F.3R as earlier variants are unable to carry 8 missiles, even if latest aircrafts were made ready to get transformed to F.4 standard as Dassault, Defence ministry and AdAE sources shows that most AdAE F.4.1 would be transformed from F.3.3 and F.3R standards because those have the ability to get transformed.

You shall bring yours tears, cry outloud your god-send truth from your misinterpretation of a blog,… but Reality differs from what you says.

guys how are you, i hope you doing fine, well i propose you a dream: what if we ask for new IR missiles but with the current IRCCM methods that are present in game?, they said “muh advance for now” but we are not asking for those advance missile with what are supposed to have IRL, what if all of us ask for a MICA-IR with FoV IRCCM method an IRIS-T with FoV IRCCM method an ASRAAM with FoV IRCCM method? if this is totally possible and they can do it and also we are going to have new missiles with better flight performance and dogfight capabilities without powercreep and all of us are going to be happy with what we get for our jets i find this really possible, think about the R-27ET but with better pull and better for close range, the R-27ET is flarable at medium/long ranges in close ranges obviously is more difficult for good reasons but its still a counterable missile with this same principle the MICA-IR, IRIS-T, ASRAAM, etc would be at the same level of flare resistance but increasing the dogfight capabilities for everyone and every jet! am just giving an option, me personally am tired of seing jets with the lack of historical armament just for balance and i dont think that i am the only one, soo… just balance that weapon at a level that it is more acceptable for the game and introduce it is simple as that it was made with the Magic-2 it was made with the AAM-3 it was made with the R-27ET why it cannot be made with this new IRs? just saying if all of us are motivated to share your opinions about and also vote this maybe am opening a topic proposing this.

On the other note about ‘14 hardpoints is a lie’, look at the weapon management station and all of its glory with 14 hardpoints

In fact you can look up a rafale cockpit and easily find many, many images with that layout
