Yup At 8500m you abrely go higher than Mach 1.1 when 4 MICA and lowest fuel. Drag and other things must indeed be too high. Or power output of engine too low idk.
To make thing worse you don’t even reach Mach 1.1 anymore when at 10000m of height.
These are currently now under consideration for the wingtips.
Is there anyway to get 8 missiles on our Rafale or we’re just stuck with 6 missiles only?
We are stuck with 6. End of story.
8 is F4.1 exclusive and Potential 10 will maybe exist for F5.
Then we need ir missiles to at least compete in cqc engagements, tho MICA works quite well in dogfight, only problem is it requires radar lock which hmd sometimes struggles get solid one.
We’ll get Magic 2. I’m convinced of it. Tho now i kinda want a gimped MICA IR but not for the performances just because it looks better on Rafale wingtips than the Magic 2 lol.
Gaijin please make a copy of Magic 2 stats to make a special Magic 2 that’ll be used only on Rafale and give it the 3D model of MICA IR. It just looks better for real.
Same here man, i feel you.
Read the whole thing i don’t even want MICA IR in th end i just want the 3D model of MICA IR instead of M2 lul
Smin can you please talk with devs about MICA modification placement? Currently it sits at tier 4 and Rafale is the only plane that has 2 stock missiles.
If this is not going to change then MICA modification should be put to Tier 1 or Tier 2 for the sake of gameplay.
I did and i agree with you, difference is ı prefer MICA IR over Magic-2 for both asthetic and performance, lul.
With Magic 2 we’ll probably get a 2 MICA + 2 M2 config default.
Nice! In the screenshot, we can see some information about the takeoff rating, which could be added to the engine power consideration.

The flight path marker is working incorrectly on new rafale and all aircraft with HUDs. I submitted a report regarding the F-16 (noting that this affects all aircraft), but the community bug reporter I contacted on the Russian-language forum closed the report, explaining that he is a ground player, doesn’t understand this issue, and suggested I contact you instead.
Overall, this bug interferes with flying in cockpit view close to the ground.
At the same time, I couldn’t find documents that specifically describe the operation of this marker, as it’s one of the obvious mechanics (besides, it works correctly in first-person view). All flight crew operation manuals mention only the name of this marker without detailed explanations. In general, searching for documentation on it (as requested on the .ru forum) is like searching for documents that explain why instrument needles should move to the right and not the left.
Could you please clarify whether it makes sense to submit a report about this in English, and if it’s possible to fix this bug?

I’m worried about this because the more planes there are with this bug, the harder it will be to fix it later. This update will only increase the number of bugs if nothing is done.
If we truly gets a working AESA with accurate performance, HMD should be extremely reliable to lock close range, so hopefully this point should be void.
Personally I don’t think I’d even mount a Magic 2 on my Rafale unless it’s after a refueling in endgame because I’m anticipating a 1v1. I manage with 6 R77 / 5 R77 + 1 ET on the Mig29SMT just fine and they’re worse than the MICA in pretty much everything.
It would be a different story if we got a 9M or something equivalent, because they have a niche use case the Magic / R73 doesn’t cover.
Testing Rafale FM update shortly.
sure, if you want to do it, do it :) I dont know how to show that exatly.
Yay, another reason for them not to unfuck MICA.
