AASM 250 (SBU54) GPS guidance not working : Community Bug Reporting System
The regular GPS one does work. IR GPS as well AFAIK

Last report left is the loft. top speed and drop speed on hold for now until further sources are found. It will be reported internally normally so don’t worry if I don’t report it myself

Drop speed limit is a bit tedious on account of the lack of controlled means to slow down rapidly. Devs denied the functionality on account of it supposedly being impossible tho.

I personally think that the AASM might be droppable from above Mach 1. However I can’t find sources that confirm or deny this. The missile top speed itself is also supposedly Mach 1.5 in guidance, and reduces to Mach1 in terminal dive. I have no sources for this however that could be used for reporting as of now. Sadly the one video of a AASM trajectory is zoomed in so I can’t extrapolate its speed.

Wouldn’t even be an issue if they’d just let us use the control surfaces to kill speed without having to throw it into a corkscrew. But according to devs, physics say no. Which is very silly, given the thing actively functions that way.

So yeah, anyone hoping for an airbrake equivalent, they’ve said no because they don’t understand how these things work so it has to be impossible.

Bug report for the MFD on the Rafale

Yeah… And I think it’s a lost cause from the start because we don’t really have much information about the Rafale (which is a good thing). But please, Gaijin, be realistic. Can you tell us why you reduced the engine power of the Rafale?

Static test always give better thrust than in flight thrust in the same conditions. Usually, if only static thrust is known, they apply a 5% reduction. In the case of the rafale, we have a less than 4% loss so it’s pretty good. I expect that they have some in flight thrust values

Hello,

I’m new to this, i never posted on forums but i wanted to know if this vidéo of the Rafale with actually 3 missiles under each wings, and the pilot confirming up to 8 missiles, could help.
I hope i’m not wasting anybody’s time, but i thought it could be interesting:

Given they’re not implementing the airbrake functionality of the control surfaces, I’m going to try track down drop speed. This is infuriating.

Could be usable, if there’s a sureproof way of knowing the standard of the displayed aircraft’s. Personnally I’m not knowledgeable enough to identify standrads visually.

By reading the description it pretty much says that it’s an F3R used to showcase the upcoming new features of the F4. So basically the same as you directly presented an F4.1. Not usable. And considering release date of the vid it might in fact directly be an F4.1 as F4.1 was showcased in shows and exhibits last year already.

Yup that’s what I expected as well. Pictures from this particular display were likely already denied in previous reports anyway.

That guy says in “Point 3” (meaning F3.3) “we go from 6 to 8 possible missiles” indeed. Unless I’m wrong with what he means in “point 3”

Edit : Nevermind, Point 1, 2, 3 are just the pylon numbers.

Honestly, might be easier to teach the devs basic physics on how canards work to get them to unfuck the airbrake before I find anything even near to being on the launch parameters. Every single result winds up taking me back to the same source that doesn’t mention it. It is very annoying.

One of the main problems is that it is a showcase, what is presented at these events often differs from reality.

I see, i just thought it could be interesting material, but it seems to not be enough^^

To assert the possibility of being able to carry 8 missiles, an announcement from the manufacturer would be needed specifically saying that it is possible; relying on images or videos does not allow us to be 100% sure of the validity of the information.

Mica IR confirmed as not coming.
