you faild to understand that that isnt a secondary source
he didnt specify anything Su-30 ingame cant even get close to that at sea level and clean tho
and so with all the sources they’re using,… you’re still doubting the 80km?
wikipedia also uses a lot of sources but that dosent make it more reliable
ngl mbda has been known to understate their products before, I wouldn’t be surprised if its actually 80 km
We’ll go for another round then:
What is Operationnal range defintion?
Operational range means the distance a vehicle can travel under long haul transport conditions without being re-charged or re-filled
Operational range Definition | Law Insider
Define Operational range. means the distance a vehicle can travel under long haul transport conditions without being re-charged or re-filled, as provided for in point 1.3.
Then what is the operationnal range advertised for both AIM-120A and MICA-EM?
80km
so, why would we 2 different ways to measure 80km depending on AIM-120 or MICA-EM, since both nations are within NATO, and so are standardized through US measuring systems.
French pilots uses Knots/Nm and every other measuring system the US does.
now,… considering that MICA is considered the french counterpart of AIM-120, shouldn’t we take into account that:
AIM-120A in game can be fired at 123.2km and still have 0.1% to hit on the 80km traveled distance.
MICA in game is currently having 50km hardwall, so we can hit aircrafts coming from 80km, to have 0.1% hit
this gives the AIM-120A an adavantages of 40.8km (37.77 seconds for 2 aircrafts closing at 1080m/s)
and even if we got that Hardwall of 50km removed to 80km, the MICA battery is only 60seconds, still giving 10.8km of advantage over the MICA (or 10 seconds for 2 aircrafts closing at 1080m/s)
which would make the MICA-EM to be the counterpart it was designed for, and not the cheap shit bucket we’ve currently got?
Or please, rename it MICA-IR, make it IR seeker, and add only 10km range to the current 50km.
at least it would be stealthy.
Now considering Directsupport already tested and showed that MICA lack kinematics through the VL-MICA comparison, you can easily deduce that the missile is currently badly modelled.
(i’ve been striked by kids on the previous comment, for inappropriate - i fail to understand what is inappropriate in a demonstrative post.)
that post is instantly invalid becasue you are using AI
DGA and Wikipedia are 2 different things
AI? where? when?
the huge as AI banner embed that you hid after posting
and why would be Law Insider a source for an A2A missile
that the link source to the definition i have for “Operational Range” - people can be anything,… but can’t ignore defintions
gimme a better definition source then?
this one? Operational Range: Understanding Its Legal Definition | US Legal Forms
since you’re that in awe with the americans methods.
all you did was gaslighting an AI
its source is this:
which isnt remotly related to A2A missiles
so because it refers to vehicules it can’t apply for a propulsed system?
does the Mica use a diesel engine?
go read Engine defintion then…
a rocket booster is an engine.
aswell as french calls Air-Air missiles “engins” - Manual of etendard IVM
you are making a clown out of yourself right now
your “source” that is somehow related to A2A missiles
what you are trying to do is to tell me that Diesel engines are somehow related to an A2A missile
which is borderline gaslighting
the French word for “Engin” is completely different from the English word btw. An “Engin” is a much broader term in French
