what were the test conditions if you dont mind me asking? alt 40k ft doesnt say everything. temperature would be good to know, as well as whether it was really level flight or a slight dive. loading of the aircraft and fuel amount as well as whether 80% thrust means the real max (80% of afterburner power) or 80% of mil power are pretty important too

Talking about f22 this time too !

Goal is talking about 6th gen aircraft in this thread !

Rafale is just that peak /s

If sources direct from the manufactorer are “Dubious secondary sources” then the sources from Safran are also “dubious secondary sources”.

Obviously the thread should be renamed to every current top of the line aircraft from every country and make a proper Rafale thread on the side. /s

Do people even read the bug reports … ? Dassault Rafale - Variants, Characteristics, Armament and Performance - #8546 by DirectSupport

i dont think you will ever see a rafale do this in actual match (the fuel amount, being slick, and Rafale A being lighter i think), but the fact it happened in testing is pretty cool

Rafale A is a bit bigger in size, but also a tiny bit lighter than the C in game (9.5t versus 9.7t iirc). I don’t know how much those 2 cancel out but the Rafale C is also said to keep the flight performances of the A.
Also, a 55 minute flight with no AB with a max thrust at 80% also gives an idea of the minimum fuel brought for the flight (since there’s a chart of m88 fuel consumption somewhere). We could expect the supercruise to have happened around the half way mark of the flight as well.
And since we know the date and time it flown, I’m sure it’s possible to find the flight conditions of the flight if there’s archived available

And the report has been closed. That didn’t take long.

5th Gen Jets is coming…

The biggest mistake developers make with Rafale is that they skip the Early variant.

I don’t know what their intentions were, but for someone like me who wants to see a variety of Rafale, skipping F1 and F2 seems like a mistake.

agreed, i dislike when they skip earlier variants of jets unless there is a really good reason (in most cases including Rafale there really isnt)
