There are some changes to the rafale in the 2.43.0.20. I am not sure what these mean, but there is a smoooll chance they are giving it 8 MICAs

If that was true, the fact thats literally what I advocated for woulsnt have gotten me like 200+ hate comments and arguments over the last week.
Most ppl here want both, many also want the extra 2 missiles as well.

@MythicPi If we get another 2 micas, you are gonna lose your mind but yeah, at that point, it should be called F4.1, in future should get mod Mica-NG and then 4.2 as next plane with Meteors.

Good thing that actual BVR combat never happen in Air RB and that AMRAAM from long range are stupid easy to defeat.
Come the f*ck on man, you got a K/D way above 2 on the 5F (unlike some other whiner in this thread, at least I can see you know how to fly) and you’re set for the same thing on the Rafale. It’s capable enough already. Get over the fact you’re not a F15E and never will be. It needs to be played differently, and that’s a GOOD thing. Thanks God not every plane play the same, it’s already hard enough to find fun in this freaking game.
Btw, i’m not opposed to getting 2 more MICA. I’d probably play it 7 MICA 1 Magic if we can get it. But the plane IS strong already.

I want either extra rocks + helmet so i can atleast use them at closer ranges or 6 REALLY correctly perfroming micas.
But having HMD and 6 missiles that are glorified BFM missiles aint really great. Well, for someone who likes to lick ground and play that notch - off bore - notch gameplay, it is.
Iam more of an BVR guy in case of modern stuff so i want actual BVR missiles if iam supposed to be limited in number. Hell, idc about helmet if they are good.
No, the things people ask here is to either have the mica fixed which won’t happen since gaijin would need to have new servers/big optimization to them and with how old this inside joke is in the community it doesn’t seem it will change, or the semi historical loadout of 8 mica which from what i understand the authority in France that take care of the integration/test of missiles approved it even if the army did not use it because of money.

Funny that i currently play it in Rafale. And had bunch of 60km kills on EF.
The issue is, Rafale is my beloved 4,5 gen and i want to use it as intended - long range with good sensor suite.
And KD? Its like that because people at top tier barely know how to use stuff at altitude. They rush into your missiles.

And well like it was said a lot of times that there were lot of tests of hmd on this rafale, for a lot of planes in the game there is even less ground for them to have it.

Shot fired at 4000 m for 1600 km/h, already at 2500 km/h ish after travelling 14km, that’s ludicrous deceleration, it kind of confirm honza’s post : it’s a stone (at long range, that’s what he was talking about anyway i would assume).
Gaijin is going to do gaijin things by giving it 6 Micas instead of fixing them, so be it i suppose
F3.2 would have had :
- a little bit worse radar that what we have currently (the radar currently lacks range and does not really behaves like an AESA, even if it’s really good). PESA would have been far, and i mean far enough for now
- Polyvalent missiles, very good at short range, decent at long range, but less of them
- They could’ve given the old HMD with 2 circles for all i care
- IR and GPS AASM only
F3R would have come later with the option for 2 Meteors, Laser AASM and a true, well modelled AESA when others could get the equivalent. And then F4.1 later on

Looking at it to me it seems like 2 extra MICA and more flares!!!
After reading again, i think he meant the current helmet but that it would be replaced by another one i guess, still seems way too annoying for gaijin to do so.
i dont see why people are such haters for 8 MICA and HMD, really confuses me. aslong as there is an HMCS i think it wont cause a riot. cause dear lord do jets in toptier need HMD. i went from negative in the Meshupar to positive real quick once its radar HMD got added.
