Im glad other ppl playing the Rafale are also saying its good, cuz this thread constantly saying its basicly unuasable and the worst plane in-game and attacking me anytime I type something or even when I dont say anything was getting obnoxious.

Historical accuracy is indeed a double edge sword.
When it comes to bug reporting and fixing issues, there’s, imho, 3 main groups :
- Those who wants the plane to be as accurate as possible, while taking balancing issue into account. example : “no 8x missile on Rafale, but MICA needs to be fixed”, “HMD can stay because everyone gets one anyway, even if they didn’t have it IRL”, “Rafale F3.2 would have been better for balance than F3R with AESA” etc…
- Those who want their favourite plane buffed even if unrealistic or if it breaks balance (8-10 missiles on F3R, Meteors, SPECTRA)
- And finally those who will “use” realism to nerf a plane they have no interest in (with very questionnable motivations, and sometimes with no sources to back up their wanted nerf).
Let’s just say your track record does not show as much effort in the areas where a fix would result in a buff compared to the opposite. That is what people get annoyed about, and that reaction is quite frankly to be expected.
Don’t get my message wrong : i don’t think the plane in game is in a bad state, but removing the HMD would make no sense : F3R had no HMD in its service life, much like a lot of plane with HMD in game => you then need to implement one that was tested => the one tested was the Scorpion in view of the future F4.1 standard at the time => you are back to square 1
My track record doesnt show much effort in the area of a nerf either. Im not actively making bug reports or the likes, im just discussing open bug reports in general on the aircraft.
As for why my track record might not show that I’m putting much effort into buffs, its cuz nobody argues against me when I say something should be buffed. Half the time they seem to outright just ignore me calling for a buff to the Rafale/MICA in general. They absolutely do argue when I say something should be nerfed though, which skews the number of comments I’m making towards nerfs since thats what everyone else is talking about with me in this thread DESPITE me asking to stop bringing it up, since its largely pointless anyways.
I think the 4th category should be people who are fine with MICA’s staying the same if it gets 8 missiles, because the MICA does fill the short range niche that most missiles can’t do. I personally think that by giving the F3R 8 missiles it will age better. If kept as it is right now, it will mean France will need another jet (like the F.4 with 8 missiles) much sooner than if the F3R was given 8 missiles. By buffing the F3R’s loadout they make it so they can hold off on the F.4 until they are ready to add MICA IR, meteor, etc.
I’m not saying we need the MICA IR or meteor at all in the near future, but it at least gives gaijin a reason to add the F.4 with some new features other than being a simple upgrade with 2 more missiles, which is effectively what it would be since the F3R has HMD

your point, the one about historical nerfs, would be more likeable if gaijin does apply the same logic everywhere, everytime, but we both know that it isn’t the case. this is why i think people argue with you on that.
on a gameplay POV imagine having a toptier 14.0 jet without even an HMS, i would cope with it if not for it’s not-AESA radar that, if working properly, can widely compensate these kind of lacks imo

Ive literally never claimed I play france, ive openly claimed I havent yet because they did not have any premiums I found interesting enough to grind france with, and though I like thr M2K, I didnt like it enough to warrant subjecting myself to dozens of hours playing a plane I dont like just to get it.
As for why I’m in this thread, as Ive stated NUMEROUS times, I LIKE the Rafale, its one of my fav jets, I intend to get it, I want to discuss it, its fun to learn new things about it (such as the ±70° radar limits), etc…
Im also in this thread a lot because despite wanting to drop this topic like 200 posts ago, i keep getting replied to, attacked, pinged, etc… by ppl in this thread who cant let stuff go.
Technically doesn’t mean possible in the instant.
Again… this 2nd solution is nowhere near what Gaijin intend to add on aircrafts.
The Fix of MICA-EM is the most trustful thing we can have,…

And M02 is not a serial aircraft, therefore never recieved any number on it’s tail let alone the number 17.

I’m waiting Rafale B F3 (F3.2 standard) for france tech tree in the future, but unknown located to strike aircraft or bomber aircraft line
Gaijin might add MICA IR on Rafale C F3-R for third or winter major update 2025 after decompression BR to 14.3
I suppose gaijin might ready Meteor for Rafale C F3-R in Q2 or Q3 2028 after decompression max battle rating to 15.3
Rafale, even with all its issues and MICA’s shortcomings, is a beast. I understand the frustration of the people here but there’s way too much doomposting.
By the way, thanks to all the bug reporters teams for their work !
Edit: and yes, I do have the plane.

And lets be real just because majority of players cant do BVR or dont know how to doesnt make Rafale better or equal in this aspect with say F-15E/I or EFT.

yeah by this logic i should say the mirage F1 is a better dogfighter than the F-5E because i killed some of them in SIM
Unfortunately, after a few versions, they will add F3R (India) to the British lineup, while the French version will fall behind in all aspects, which will definitely disappoint French players
to be fair this is very unlikely, but not impossible, 'cause smin already stated that having an indian subtree doesn’t automatically mean that UK will have all indian vehicles apart from the gap-fillers (but i guess this doesn’t apply for indian-made jets like tejas)

It’s obvious the F15E / EFT are better to play agressive and get the first strike on the opposite team. This is the “meta” if you just want to farm kills fast. But that doesn’t detract from what the Rafale is capable of, which is slaughtering multiple target at close range in quick succession. It takes more work, sure. I enjoy a bit of challenge.
Even if they “”““fixed””“” the MICA, they wouldn’t compete with these two aircrafts anyway. But they’re in a good place, right now, because the aircraft carrying them is very capable.
So TLDR its at disadvantage compared to other 14.0s.
F-15E/I and EFT are better for ARB where they can lob missiles from afar and are better for 1v1 where they can dictate how the fight goes.

Rafale is better in one circle, the moment they pull into you, just slap them with mica.
