Dassault Rafale - Variants, Characteristics, Armament and Performance

That M791 gun sound makes me look forward to getting the Rafale a whole lot

Just SUCH a joy man.

Ultimately this is exactly why players ask for the x8 MICA loadout to somehow compensate in numbers for the lackluster performance of the MICA EM in the game ( advertised as being in the 100km class ). Had the MICA have a ressemblance of competitiveness in BVR over a 5 years older AIM-120A ( with much lower advertised max range ) im sure people would had been ok with x6 .

Ita gonna take me a while to get it tbf, i gotta grind the whole french tree. Been holding off on it cuz i dont like the F1C and was hoping for a better prem to use.

Btw, kinda suprised i have seen you in sim before? 🤔

Mirage 2000C-S5: One of the best planes of its BR, due to its amazing missiles
Mirage F1C: Amazing plane due to amazing Magic II
Super Etendard: Super fun due to Magic I

If the MICA was as it should be, 6 would be more than enough for a proper player, or if every match wasn’t a massive lobby, which we should have gotten forever ago instead of a dysfunctional option

Probably have seen me, I just came back from a 8 month hiatus to this beautiful aircraft along with the gorgeous strike eagle.

Playing a lot these days especially now with raf!

It is definitely worth though, buy battlepass and grind the tree out in sim asap! Good luck!

Is there a range indicator for the target on the HUD like it appeared on the M2k?

I did a dogfight yesterday against the ETF with the M2k in Sim, i got in a 2 v 1, first one was shot down by Mica, the other on after the a face to face merge was literally behind me in 2 second, while i was still hard turning, never saw that

No, it’s missing as well.

Nope. Not even magic seekerhead until its locked. There is bunch of stuff missing on both hud and radar. Iam pretty sure radar should have altitude coverage indication in numbers. Everything gets it, but its nowhere to be seen on radar and that side view aint it, it cant be reliably used with awacs/gci guidance.

2.43.0.14 is currently live.
Anybody care to check if RBE2 now continuously updates tracks?

Is it only me or camera wont slave on radar track, tws or stt… It just looks forward. Both camera and irst should be slaved to radar track, even if irst cant see it or camera track it on its own. It should atleast point at it.

Would be better that the measurement unit was based on players settings altogether imo

Seems to, at least in test drive its tracking as if you have them locked.

Doesn’t for me either, but if I’m not mistaken it originally did when the f14b got it but got removed for the reason that some found it annoying to use when trying to guide CAS and A2A at the same time. Can’t remember the exact words.

Why did my pilot model bug report got refused with lame excuse?

Gaijin gave Typhoons to its unique pilot model but somehow Rafale cant get it? Is it so hard to model it and make French Community happy?

That’s a big with looking around. When you look away from your cursor, it allows you to turn your aircraft with the cursor moving as well (instead of staying fix until you move your mouse). It also deactivate HMD/place the marker back to the cursor.
This is a weird bug that has been present since the introduction of HMS

Edit : if you talked about the OSF camera not slaving to radar, that’s normal. They deactivated since f14 for aircrafts with air-air modes because it was very inconvenient. Only some specialized attack aircrafts with poor air modes have this feature (Su25, Mirage 2000 D…)

Nice, can you drop a short vid (don’t have to, really)?
Also, check if moving the scan zone so that one of the targets is outside of the scan zone (but still within radar limits) stops updating/tracking the target (you can tell it is the case when a target disappears after 4 seconds of being outside of the scan zone).
I don’t think it will work, as IIRC V004 also does not have this ability yet, but it’s worth a try.

Bro, you are the first person I have seen actually mention this.
