Tested the radar a bit on a free flight.
It’s… ok. But I expected a lot more from an AESA. It’s just a fast mechanical radar with how they made it. 140° gimbal limit is good, especially for the HMD+MICA combo, but it doesn’t scan the full 140° both in TWS and PD which looks weird.
Also MICA can’t be shot from an IRST lock which is also weird.
The plane itself handle very well at least. The flight model is better than the 5F which was expected.
Oh and for Sim, the HUD is really nice.
