IRL the Rafale is far superior to the 2000-5F in terms of its detection equipment, personally I did not expect a revolution in the game with the arrival of the aircraft. If the radar is modeled correctly (the bug report for the AESA radar has been accepted), then the Rafale will really be a good improvement over the Mirage.
Regarding the addition of the export variants’ armaments, personally I am opposed to it, the export variants are generally heavily modified aircraft and (in my opinion) the 2000-5F should never have received the additional Magic or ground weapons.
To be honest I didn’t expect to have a Rafale F3.R in the game, adding an F2 would have made much more sense at the moment. And would have been much simpler to model/balance
There are bug reports for the radar that have been accepted and we should receive the AESA radar (at least I hope so), for the name it seems that the plane remains under its F3 designation because it is ultimately a mixture of all the F3 standards
Btw i notice only now that there is inconsistencies about AASM lock range which is advertised as 20km but when pointing a target at like 19 km the AASM indicates POINT lock instead of TRACK lock. Has this been reported or it’s normal?
IIR Type, Laser is limited by TGP lock range and GPS can go above 30km of launch range with no problem new POI on map feature will make these supra cancer, free spawnkills.
Well they started by giving it 1529 which was very nice of them and then that one dude reported the thing about 750kts. Tho Gaijin could have applied the nerf anyway it’s not hard to find deck max speed of Rafale Dassault literally advertise it on their site.
They actually changed pilot models on both EFT and Rafale, the thing is both of them shares same model while Rafale pilot model should be like that on this picture.
