Well… Good luck arguing that with Gaijin, we tried and failed with a certain other AGM that uses LOAL.
It’s French so no British tax, will be implemented /s.
Hopefully though since they’re adding SEAD to the game, maybe they can allow Rafale to fire AASMs to GPS coordinates based off of the RWR ping, this was France’s version of SEAD/DEAD:
Just wait until they add the Indian Rafale. I hope you enjoy being able to take off /s
I hope it comes soon, SEAD would be fun for a lot of aircraft, especially in ASB
Then there is no reason to balance AASM-250 (nerf it) due to KH-38MT existing. IF Gaijin nerfs AASM-250, Russia will be again the only one to possess this kind of long range fire and forget weapon.
I’m sad they didn’t use ARMAT for longer.
Have you not seen the thread on the KH-38?
Looks like the IIR KH-38 never existed
No I in fact didn’t. I say only picture of Su-35 with red missiles, that look like KH-38MTs or KH-38MLs with shortened wing tips.
No thanks. If people wants to use Rafale they can grind French Tree.
We have info regarding 80m correction in a test
Let’s assume max possible correction is 160m
Apparently the seeker starts looking for the target at 1500m
Arctan (160 / 1500) ~= 6 deg
So the field of view would be 2x6 = 12 deg
Of course this is assuming that the weapon design is optimized so that the maneuverability is not the only relevant bottleneck that determines the 80 or 160m correction limit. (I.e. the optics and sensor are selected to match what the weapon could actually take advantage of kinematically).
I might be mistaken but from what I understand that’s the size of their test model.
Think of it as map size in WT.
They made this model/map as a “test world” for the terminal phase of the missile’s guidance system …
If you look at the comment again you’ll notice that he shows picture of what the camera sees (si when it’s active), and it’s definitely much bigger than 80 or 160m. The 2km value should be correct, although I guess someone can actually find where this is in hoogle map to actually get the dimensions of the ground it’s looking at in the picture
Well as Gaijin wont add systems like that. The correct implementation would be laser guided like Brimstone?
Penguin.
You can technicaly fire from 50km, but it will start tracking only from 2,5
Bdw, does AASM have a seeker view in game?
Tbf they both need some nerfs. The Typhoon got some, the Rafale really needs some, and then they both need to be nerfed a little bit more.
like KH38 when you don’t use a pod ?
no it doesn’t
Thanks
You can fire them from the OSF though
