SIUUuu we love to see it! Is it perfectly historica?l no but untill they buff/fix mica I am very happy with this.

We now get a total of off 56 chaff and 52 flares pops (the new countermeasures are all singe pop)

Is anyone able to use the HAMMER SBU54s? (the laser guided ones)

whenever I bring them out it just says seeker:on and refuses to leave the rail. Works perfectly in test flight

We also got wat we wanted with the stock MICA on different pylons. Now you dont need to research all the way up to MICA in onder to beable to bring MICA with CAS!

And this time it’s not me jumping the gun! Nice to see.

Still strange we have a F4 in all but in-game name now, just calling it “f3R (late)” would fit a bit more too since were “retrofitting” the HMD and pylons.

Now I just have to hope I hear something about the TVC/MICA question/report I made.

And the countermeasures (16x Large - 36x normal - 112x Chaff) still is a bit small, but I’m not well versed on if the Rafale has access any sort of external countermeasures payload or pylons. 16v16 still gets chaotic with irccm sometimes.

Haven’t used them in ground or air RB. The IR work perfectly fine amd laser works in test drive and customs.

I can work with 52 flares its nothing crazy but a good change

the SBU54 loadout costs about 670SP rather than the 894 of the SBU64, so you only have to have 2 kills rather than 3 which helps you take out CAS of some form even if you die early on your first spawn. I have no idea why it’s wigging out like this, surely the laser guided mavericks don’t have this issue.

Definitely workable, much more so than the 32 before; especially single pop. But the rafale + MICA is such a potent 1v2+ that I definitely feel the low count if my team doesn’t survive the first spamram impact wave.

The laser guided AASM can also be prefired at the enemy spawn/pansir without direct line of sight. You can use the new map marking feature to shoot them in GPS then pop up last second and laser guide them in.

that’s a neat tactic I’ve never thought of, but useless if the missile doesn’t leave the rail.

Tbh 32 large caliber is better than 16 LC and 32 Small Caliber in my book, wish it was changed to either 72 Small Caliber or stayed as it is.

Im not happy with this change, 6 missiles loadout was more than enough, with these changes Rafale became Frankenstein plane and will make first F4 addition completely meaningless.

I dont think we will ever see JAS39 or EFT countermeasures but that is because the French rely on different systems. I also dont think there are any countermeasure pods for the Rafale.

Why would it be useless when the engine stops burning?

no no, I’m having an issue when I try to fire the SBU54, it just says seeker:on and doesn’t fire.

Meteor and/or MICA-IR + AASM 1000

Oh I see rail my stupid brain thought trail

Those additions came with F4.2 iirc.

I really dont mind we have plenty of other un historical changes. At least this was tested and 100% possible if the Frensh airforce decided to safe some money. We can just say we have the Dassault Rafale instead of the French airforce Rafale.

(Not talking about the HMD because that might get changed)

I think F4.2 would be MICA-NG

Honestly its more what you end up against, large caliber are alot more useful against gate width missiles in my experience, and total count more useful for suspension, but thats just me.

I don’t know of any, but I also don’t know if the pods the m4k in game uses are compatible or not, I know it has spirale built in so its at least somewhat modern, whether she works with it or not, who knows.
