It’s still behaving very weirdly. It just doesn’t see anything unless you track them first with an acquisition lock.
Against test drive Mig15, from 30km to contact : nothing on my TWS at all. If I lock one manually, they then appear on the TWS screen and are tracked properly, but it looks like the TWS is completely blind by itself, somehow.
Current Rafale beats Mirage2k easily in dogfight, Mirage doesnt stand a chance unless Rafale pilot makes a huge mistake.
I think it’s a combination of the Rafale radar being extremely bad, and the novelty of the FM. When we get used to it it will feel better to play.
The same way I can’t for the life of me do anything in the f16am when it’s not much worse, if not better than the Mirage on paper
Radar works much better than yesterday, tho it doesnt come close to its real life performance.

It feels much more consistent and works much better, tho from time to time it still looses lock for a sec then reacquires really fast.
I dont know if its me but it pulls harder looks like, i was bein able to pull 14-16G’s without an issue.
that could be deadly in turn fights. Does the HMS lock any easier compared to the Mirage or any other jet ? Since Rafale’s radar is also supposed to make this easier afaik
HMD locks significantly faster than Mirage i can tell that but as usual it refuses to lock sometimes just like any other plane.

I dont know tbh but this problem occurs on almost any plane.
I just did an experiment for low speed turns of Rafale, Mirage 2K5F, Eurofighter and F-4F ICE, all with 25min fuel and only A2A loadout :
Rafale :
Mirage 2000-5F :
German Eurofighter :
F-4F ICE :
Also I only noticed during this experiment, but F-4F ICE doesn’t drop below 447kmh in turn fights, even with its combat flaps on
They changed EFT’s pilot model to real life counterpart, meanwhile they refused my bug report and claimed there are limited pilot models in this game.
Its obvious Gaijin doesnt care Rafale as much as they care EFT, they could’ve just accept my report and implement it later but instead they straight up refused it…
Because F4’s flight model is overperforming in sustain turn rate, i believe it was already reported or was about to.
