I’m worried about this because the more planes there are with this bug, the harder it will be to fix it later. This update will only increase the number of bugs if nothing is done.
If we truly gets a working AESA with accurate performance, HMD should be extremely reliable to lock close range, so hopefully this point should be void.
Personally I don’t think I’d even mount a Magic 2 on my Rafale unless it’s after a refueling in endgame because I’m anticipating a 1v1. I manage with 6 R77 / 5 R77 + 1 ET on the Mig29SMT just fine and they’re worse than the MICA in pretty much everything.
It would be a different story if we got a 9M or something equivalent, because they have a niche use case the Magic / R73 doesn’t cover.
Testing Rafale FM update shortly.
sure, if you want to do it, do it :) I dont know how to show that exatly.
Yay, another reason for them not to unfuck MICA.
Extra Thiccc.
Just because it was accepted doesn’t mean it will be put into the game.
Soon
Really hope it isn’t. 6 would be fine if they fixed them. Now we’re just going to have to deal with them doing nothing because now we’ve plenty if they get added.
I mean it’s still a great news because they can consider it.
They won’t be fixed
Like @Fluffy_Bucketles I would much prefer that they correct the flight model of the Mica rather than putting missiles that do not correspond to the realistic payload.

Supercruise stuck at ~1.14-1.15 mach at 9km alt
Correct me if I’m wrong but I did a test flight this month and it seemed to me that the maximum speed achievable at high altitude was the same with or without the cans, which doesn’t make much sense.
Gaijin does not properly model drag on pylon mounted ordnance.
Ah
Looks like a small issue
