something tells me its camera shoudlnt be able to reach that angle

Crazy huh. Who knows what’s in store for summer at this rate

ability was planned, and those racks existed IRL, never to be shown publicly.

and A2G ordonnace [Bull…]

guess we would recieve a Rafale F.4 with 8 missile in 2 years, when Meteors would become a thing.

Flight abilities?
i mean,… Rafale turn “twice” better than the Mirage 2000, with far superior acceleration at lower speed, allowing you to sustain turn fights.

i cant remember the last time i got into a BFM in ARB, Ralph will be at its best in sim when AESA gets implemented

Sustain fights only happen once every 10 ARB games, and I’m being generous I think. FM upgrade is nice (if it’s final), but my point still stands.

Don’t get me wrong I’m extremely hyped for the Rafale. I we don’t get more missiles, the next thing is to try to fix the MICA. Some engagement on this thread would therefore be welcome :

i do regularly, not a problem just you need to be careful about RWR as anyone will be trying to lock you down ^^"

i do that lately even when Uptiered in my F-15A/J /F-16AJ and F-14B

such a Subject - 80km range, loft, and close ranges,… yeah i know about all that,… but it’s only because Gaijin ways to modelize anything is based on the need, and they can’t adapt it without taking 2 years of development for it,… TVC is stammering and we already reached the limit of current implemented coding system.

for the same assement: AS-30L is slower than it should be,… this should also be fixed,… but, “hey, Soy Gaijin”

i have lost faith in their abilities to understand french sources, let alone to translate them.
it took me 2 years to get the Radar and CCIP for Etendard IVM, while those reports were based on the Manual (primary sources),… as they were unable to understand the functionning of the HUD! (after i’ve made a complete transcription from french to english,… taking all my time to make it clear and easy to read)

so,… again : Vast Subject it is to Fix French equipement

I’m in more than this, maybe once every 10 games I am not rate fighting someone at some point.

I’ve seen you talk about technical specs before so

How does the RBE2 AA compare to other AESA radars we could see soon like J/APG-1, AN/APG-63V3 (F-15C), AN/APG-79 (super hornet), and AN/APG-80 (F-16E BLK 60)

From what I know of it, it has way less T/R modules but maybe software helps compensate?

It is superior in range and performance to the CAPTOR-M and offers a variety of additional modes and features by comparison. It is more closely fused with the rest of the situational awareness and internal systems of the Rafale than any other fighter jet with the exception of the F-35’s kit.

What specifically are you trying to learn?

Hey, do you happen to have a source document for the exact countermeasures configurations on the Rafale? Seems it’s wrong atm

This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.

It’s correct. The layout is either 32 large caliber or 64 normal flares. We would need a picture of the rafale with normal flare pods or video showing a rafale dropping 64 flares

Trying to learn some more details on the RBE2 AA so I can get an idea of how it compares to the other AESA radars I listed

The Chaff pod is the same as Mirage 2000 had, it’s also large calibre btw, so it is really damn good.

You’re right, seems like I previously misread it as 16 flares max. The option for 64 normal caliber flares would be really nice to have though.

I am being hit through notching and throwing out half of it, so maybe I’m just getting unlucky.

It looks like the IRST will not be changed (unless someone has additional sources)
