Dassault Rafale - Variants, Characteristics, Armament and Performance - Part 2

Interesting to look at but not accurate, especially in an area where there’s public material on that specific area.

I wonder if the ±60 degrees is only counting full strength beams, instead of the full limits of the radar including weaker beams at high angle.

Doesn’t quite explain why the AN/APG-80 has ±70 though.

Do we know for what RCS the range figures are given in game? Cause the brochure is for 5m²

i think every radar mentioned in the list are fixed plate radars.

It’s for 3 in game.

Edit: nvm no it’s not

MBDA might be about to debut something very interesting. for:
“existing F3, F4, and future F5 platforms” according to their website.

Smart-Glider
which means we might get spice-250 equivalent sooner rather than later if they show the munition mounted on the 3 teased airframes. Smart Glider is meant to work in conjunction with AASM and AASM-NG.

I hope they show testing like with the AASM’s early development. Since at the 2025 dubai airshow its was rumored to already be in testing. we just need them to produce non classified media of it mounted on airframes to get it ingame.

Wasn’t this something being funded by the UAE? Either funded by UAE or MBDA-France and UAE going in on this project together. Not sure about the specifics, interesting to me also that you mentioned it being rumored to be tested at the dubai airshow.

MBDA reveals joint smart missile plan with UAE, 2030 production target - Breaking Defense

They already showed the concept for smart glider / smart cruiser and the hexalauncher for those.

And it seems like it’s a whole family with some lighter and some heavier.

So honestly the only thing we need is having official confirmation that rafale f3 can take them and ask / receive those in game when you see gripen e / eurofighter cas which are purely plan of plan, so those are not even sure to ever happen irl. (and also sounds a lot nonsensical anyway)

But where you got this news on their website ?

The 2000/1700 L fuel tanks on the Mirage 2000 are my biggest expectation for the coming year. The Mirage 2000 is the only top-tier jet, along with the F-4 and the Harrier (which doesn’t really need them), that hasn’t yet received any tanks other than the central one, and frankly, I find it very strange to play a 2000D or a 2000-5 without the aircraft being equipped with these tanks.

Same, I also hope they add the GBU 24 or some other guided bomb to M2k C & F1 CT, since they could use them like non guided bomb (with CCRP), or guided by JTAC, JTAC that we could maybe see in the future with infantry.

Update changed absolutely nothing and I’m all for it. I played a some of new jets and Rafale too and nothing changed. Next March it will be 1 year of absolute AIR RB king. I play solo.

Would be far more suitable than the 2000L ones for air battles since those 1250L tanks are designed for supersonic flight.
Much less drag added.
They look cooler as well indeed

Regarding laser designation by another player, I’m not entirely sure how it would work in-game, but for infantry mode it could indeed be interesting.

Personally, my expectations for the coming year include additional fuel tanks for the Mirage 2000, but above all, the addition of the Exocet missile for French aircraft (Rafale, Super Étendard, and probably the M2K-5, given how they’ve integrated it). We’ve been waiting for this missile for ages (and also, if possible, the addition of air-to-air modes to the Super Étendard’s radar).

Can you imagine the TKs
