I just watched a video of Rafale got buffed, and it really, really made me realize once again that Gaijin has no brain.

How is it a buff? Lowering oswald efficiency means more speed loss when turning, maybe slightly offset by weight
It’s a buff to climbrate, TWR, sustained rate since it offsets the lowered oswald, higher instantaneous, higher energy retention, and lower turn radius because reduced weight = tighter turns. It’s practically a buff in every area of the flight model.

Dev-server Rafale: 1.57
Rafale now is in the opposite direction of the Eurofighter.

Seriously, why does Gaijin insist on making every top tier plane that isn’t an EFT completely irrelevant in the face of the Rafale and even the EFT can’t really be considered a peer to it now. Can’t they just wait with implmenting these buffs until more planes are added that actually stand a chance?

Not even just buffs. There are so many little bugs that still haven’t been fixed. But that’s off topic.

Gaijin refusing to fix the Eurofighter’s empty weight report (which was submitted on the 1st Dev server) plays into the maths a bit. I think they are about equal in TWR if the Eurofighter were to get fixed.
