i checked on the replay, to investigate that:
i got fired upon by an EF-2000, as i fired 3 AASM quite at the same time then changed direction rapidly (90° turn)
the seeker of AIM-120B lost me, then relocked onto the 1st AASM launched.
the AIM-120B was then considered killed by my AASM, but my AASM didn’t survived either.
because your AASM was fired after the Aim-120 so the game thought you used it to counter the Aim-120
anyway, it’s good to know - we can use this an AIM-120B bait :D

F.4.2 - Which F.4 standard exactly Indonesia gets is unknown. However, if they want MICA NG, it can be implemented via Software update.

Was the recent test firing of the mica ir ng made by a 4.2?
There is no reason to as all Rafale in French service are being upgraded to F.4 at the moment (along with additional orders).
Officially there is no existing F.4.2. Tests conducted (by DGA or any other) are 99% always test aircraft.

Modern jets needing a software update to use a new weapon is normal, and not exactly a big deal. If nothing else you would want to load Launch Success Zones for the new missiles into the aircraft.

Why is DAMOCLES POD still in use on Rafale?
This limits the AASM delivery quite a bit.
why can’t we get Talios pod instead?
Because DAMOCLES is already very nerfed why would you add TALIOS if it wouldn’t be better than DAMOCLES because in game pods are nerfed.
Hey so i was wondering why the roll rate of the rafale ingame is so obviously incorrect? It rolls at least 2x as fast in real life if not more. Since a Youtube video was used to nerf the rafales STR, could someone use the same video to buff its roll rate? The Rafale is not the only plane in the game that has an intentionally nerfed roll-rate. Roll-rates in-game for most aircrafts is limited to maximum of 200 deg/s because in theory anything higher and you could rip your wings when rolling while turning using mouse-aim. Atleast that’s what Gaijin claimed…

But it’s been seen that the F-18 and other aircrafts were capable of using their IRL maximum roll-rates (~270deg/s) at lower speeds while the Rafale cannot so another report was done to point out this disparity.

Yeah, I probably can confirm this, flying J-10A with its rollrate is really easy to break your wing. So I guess that’s the reason why, Mirage 2000 also used to have this, and now have intentionally nerfed rollrate too.

You know, I like the Rafale and all. After all, it’s the best jet in the game as of now. Buuuuut, don’t you think it’s time for another buff ? What do you think we might get with the new update ?
