Dassault Rafale - Variants, Characteristics, Armament and Performance - Part 2

it is still not in service?

i thought it would already be with it being tested last year

it should be delivered this year and will be ready when the game is ready for it either way, but afaik on the 14th of September 2026 it does not fly yet

Well, first theres no evidence MICA NG EM even exists right now, so maybe let’s worry about that first.

He’s saying that the dev mica is worse at close range at straight line targets, which he’s right about. But there’s a report that addresses it.

they really need to do something with the naming scheme

bc MICA NG IR and MICA NG EM isnt it

What would you propose? I don’t know what else they could have used.

Rename to MICA 1 EM/IR and MICA 2 EM/IR like the magics
:)

i dont know

but what i know is that it is a mouthfull and needs a rebrand

Sadly no evidence MICA NG EM even exists, only the IR one. Probably harder and takes more time to make AESA seekers.

It’s better we get MICA fixed first. Hopefully they’ll implement one of the last mica reports left when the update drops.

they are “implementing” reports from what ive seen so maybe

It’s possible they could put the new MICA report to the back of the pile since they already have missiles that are already planned to be reworked on and have reports that are older.

So it looks like datamine for the upcoming update dropped. The developers worked overtime on MICA and fixed the MICA based on this last report:
MICA missile should hit Mach 2.5+ in vertical launch // Gaijin.net // Issues

  • MICA’s thrust got increased
  • MICA’s drag got slightly increased but it is still lower than the drag it had previously.
  • MICA’s burntime increased from 3.0 seconds to 3.5 seconds.
  • MICA’s fuel mass increased, so now will be even lighter after burnout.
  • MICA’s thrust-vectoring angle got increased even though its maneuverability was already buffed on the dev-server.
Spoiler

Thanks to everyone who supported the report and the dev-server thread. MICA is now lore-accurate in terms of kinematics.

It’s a decrease isn’t it? From 25850 to 24840. Still higher than the old MICA first stage though.

Yeah slightly less thrust but on more time from what i understand.

Yep. Total impulse is increased, so that’s good.

Total DeltaV should be increased by about 16% from my understanding, putting it closer to 1000m/s. Basically we are about half and half in terms of deltaV betzeen live and dev server. All other metrics being buffed compared to live

from what i saw the mica is back to 972 m/s DeltaV so almost at the 1000m/s mark

Drag increased a decent amount, think it needs ISP bumping to 250 to get that 1000 m/s DeltaV, fix the diameter and boom it’s done.
