I approve of this logic, it permits Tochka alongside Pluton, lots of silly contraptions.

Egypt sent an RFP to Dassault for 24 Rafale.
It comes just after their exercices with China (pushing their j-10) and would make 78 Rafale in total, and with their coming International Aerospace Exhibition in september 8 to 10 more news might come.

A question for the Rafale fans
I understand now that the C and M variants in game are effectively equivalent, with the M’s TGP having slightly lower base zoom level (which is nice) in exchange for some extra mass (that I have heard is negligible for this machine)
do the variants have equipment differences IRL? Or possible future differences when Gaijin adds things like the Meteor and MICA-IR?

(I will open both lines, for the M2K-5F and the M4K respectively, but only wanted to grind one Rafale, and am trending towards the M as few other available 4.5 gens are carrier-capable)
I’m gonna guess that either or both will be added via the Rafale F4, and both F3s will remain with current weapons fit. (Though 1 could get just 1 of them, with the F4 getting both) Much like how the M-Scan Typhoons probably won’t get ASRAAM and Meteor but the AESA one probably will. Avoids creating gaps and gives a half decent reason to add the F4 and a reason to keep playing the F3

Both in-game are F.3R standard and have no differences in this context (at least shouldn’t).

if I understand correctly, it can be expected that Gaijin would just add the next upgrade package variant it chooses in both the C and M models? (not necessarily at the same time, but I dont play that fast anyway) and these would not be too different from each other, I suppose? At least for the French airforce/navy
To add a bit more, technically, only the Marine variant operationally caries the Exocet.
Also on the Marine variants, heavy ordinance such as the Scalp, AASM1000 and Exocet can only be belly mounted to pevent the jet from ditching asymetric loadouts before carrier landings.
Aside from that, IRL the plane is about 1 tonne heavier but in game they are identical in all aspects but the 3D model and the bigger nose landing gear
In-game, there’s only a very slight difference that make the C a better dogfighter:
M has 500kg more empty mass
and the M88 version it has, has around 400 kgf less thrust

A summary of everything going on for people who have a life, I went through the datamine:
- AASM was nerfed from Mach 1.4 to Mach 1.01 release speed
- Bvvd hinted on RU stream that 5th gens aircraft could come this later this year
- No MICA fixes
- No RBE2 radar fixes
- No IRST fixes
- No RWR fixes
- No MAWS fixes
In essence, bvvd is hinting that 5th gen aircraft could come later this year, meanwhile Gen 4.5+ aircraft are still not fully modeled and in a state where they could properly contest 5th gen aircraft.
