Looks like the Swiss government will finally be forced by the courts to release its evaluation criterias on the competition between F-35, Rafale, Typhoon, and Gripen N/G amid allegations by journalists that the criterias were heavily weighted towards the F-35.

Rafale is next on the line to have some fun it looks like from the french ambassador to Sweden, with a picture of greek M2k so most likely there will be sales of Rafale for Greece too to replace those.

F.4.1 would be mostly similar, except it gets the AASM 1000. The F.4.2 gets some cool stuff, but I forgor what (even tho I asked it here already)

So i just read a bit in the suggestion forum.
All i can see is Scorpion hmd and upgraded EW and ground search and track.
I guess it could be a good addition but 400k rp for just hmd is kinda meh. For french main.

they current rafales already got the HMD either way, since the F3 “tested” it at one point.
There is pretty much no current point to add the F4 for france, brings nothing new
I would also add that if Gaijin were to implement proper IRST functionality, the gap between the Rafale and aircraft like the FGR.4 would narrow considerably. With IRST, you would get a 180° detection arc and the ability to fire MICAs, and transitions from radar to IRST when exceeding gimbal limits would be seamless.
I just tested IRST on the Rafale in-game and I honestly don’t use it much, given how poorly it is modelled. I’m still baffled as to why Gaijin hasn’t revisited it, especially when they added the modern Flankers. Here’s hoping that once a more capable aircraft than the Rafale arrives, and it has been a long wait since March 2025, Gaijin will take the opportunity to remodel IRSTs properly, which should also benefit the Rafale.

I wouldn’t call MICA NG and AASM-LIR nothing, at least in case of F.4.2 :p
(+ AASM-1000, new IRST, larger MFDs and slightly different model compared to current F.3R)
Adding F.4.1 foe France however doesn’t make sense at this point - nothing speaks against Indonesian F.4.1 too, as it only adds AASM-1000, new IRST and larger cockpit displays.

Technically false as F4.1 get some exclusive upgrades over F3R however you want to turn it. AND in the past; tantrum were caused because a producer nation of a vehicle (KF41 case for example) didn’t get it first so i don’t see why we couldn’t just do sheer protesting against such things.

Even if AASM 1000, new IRST and displays doesn’t seem much imo AASM 1000 + TALIOS on a C platform is enough of an upgrade over current CAS capability of C F3R to be mittigated about adding F4.1 to other nations before France gets the F4.2.

ah yes, no KF41 variant in one tree is definitly the same a slightly different variant added into one.

AASM are overperforming as they are and need to lose their whole IR fnf capabilkity since they arent supposed to work the way they are right now

Well excuse me princess but KF41 is barely better than a PUMA so… To me it make close to no diff. The onlt thing i’ll concede to Germs are that they got PUMA after KF41 was added.
They should be fire and forget just not work the same way.

Rafale f4 is a slightly upgraded version
its loal, which only works in the last few meters after launch, u cant lock any targets from kilometers away and moving targets shouldnt be able to be hit at all if they moved a certain amount
