Italy is so forgotten by the devs that now that france has the squadron dutch vehicle, italy is the ONLY nation with NO squadron vehicles at all. Zero… And of course no high tier events prizes…
For air squadrons France should get the F-8P or Mirage III NG, Italy on the other hand… uhhhhh some random F-104 idk lmao the Italian airforce was not locked in during the Cold War
Brother go check the italian suggestion page, you’ll find every plane you want and more… also there still a lot of planes left to suggest, the community is still working.
On top of that, given the possibility of not adding any italian made aircrafts as squadron, hungary, romania, spain, portugal and turkey(ehm F4F terminator ehm) are still avaible solutions
For Italy there can be Portuguese Fiat G.91R/3 capable of carrying AIM-9Bs, S.211A, Some of multiple Aermacchi jets (MB-339C, M-311, M-345 or others) or something from Romania and Hungary subtree (MiG-23UB, MiG-29 Sniper, IAR-93MB, IAR-99C).
Spain would have definitely been a better subtree for Italy than Hungary and they could have gotten a Spanish Mirage squadron plane

yes but they were modified one they reached the UK I’m pretty sure
- 111C never reached UK it was Australian
- All upgrades were done by general dynamics in America to the Australian govt spec

They did, the major difference from the Basic LANTIRN (AAQ-14) that the LANTIRN Targeting System (AAQ-25) later updated to allow it to generate coordinates of a target location using the Laser rangefinder, that could then be uploaded to the JDAM / EGBU before release for prompt strike, in addition to retaining the ability to provide Laser designation.
This needed some software updates and hardware changes to the modified (known as “(U)” upgraded airframes) F-14s since it needed some additional wiring run to station 1A to permit direct GPS output to be handed off to the pod, but I have sources that confirm changes were made to the F-14B & -14D, though the F-14A did have access to the LANTIRN pod & LGBs.
I’d hope that appropriate JDAM (JSOW & L-JDAM and WCMD would also be nice, at some point in the future) variants, including 1000lb & 2000lb class options were extended to other airframes like the F-16C, A-10C & F-14B as well.
The expanded carriage racks (e.g. BRU -41 / -57) for applicable aircraft would be nice too.
So far yes, but there is still time for further additions to be made, and the GBU-38(V)1/B (USAF variant) is present in the files, even though the 1000lb GBU-32 (175kg) would be closer in mass to the KAB-500S-E (195kg) counterpart than the BLU-111 since it has less than half at 85kg of PBX-109.
