Thats one thing thats different yeah. DAIRCM is also newer and smart(has a computer)
im fairly sure circm is daircm(its not apparently only leonardo has a design thats in service rn of daircm). there are some figures on the laser wattage going on the internet and its pretty high, but is there even a difference betwen LDIRCM and DAIRCM? like as far as i know the term LDIRCM isnt used outside of WT

Not exactly, they are functionally similar systems that use different mounting solutions.
The CIRCM is mounted to the Wingtip station, which prevents other systems (such as a Sidewinder, ATAS or other sensors / uplinks from being mounted).
The DAIRCM, replaces the AAR-47 UV MAWS in their cheek / aft blister(s), and still provides at least equivalent functionality for the Countermeasure suite.

can confirm that the AH-64E currently has the same magical shield as Mi-28NM Ka52 and Z10ME

im not sure if they are gonna make it realistic, if the new russian AA was IR they would have already fixed it but because its ARH idk if they are gonna bother

yeah good point, though in my experience germany is almost always on russia’s side so that woud be one motive to nerf it

They did acknowledge that they are aware the way the L-DIRCM currently works is not realistic, when they released the Z-10ME and the Mi-28NM update

How hard it was to get AGM-114K on it, then their reluctance to give it AIM-9M, now they don’t want to give it JAGM-MR even if limited to the same 8x as the AH-64E, the AH-1Z not getting APDS like the Ka-50s do, etc. it so goddamn annoying

It would be made so much easier if they were to actually openly specify a configuration, but then that means actually holding them to account for erroneous changes and setups that would become / are prevalent to account for balance changes, instead of ending up on a list of levels Gaijin have access to, permitting them to adjust for soft balancing, like the way the F-16A-15ADF was given AMRAAMs because it was felt that it “needed” them to stay competitive, in place of dropping the BR with the recent balancing pass.
I still don’t see why it couldn’t have been forwarded as a suggestion at minimum, and so at very least the we know that these changes are on a list somewhere to be consulted should the need arise.
Further what happens now, since “it’s not a bug” is it no longer an option, does it need to be reworded to make it a suggestion? does Ordnance and systems refits need to go though the Suggestions side of the Forums?
Any insight that you could provide? This isn’t the only instance of this occurring especially with the tranche of reports for this Dev server.

So it seems we will get an upgraded AH-1Z in the future, from the comments of the Bug Report Manager
They shouldn’t add this to any other vehicle, and it should be removed from the vehicles it is on until gaijin actually implement it properly.
One target at a time, limited arcs where it can see a missile and it needs to take 5+ seconds if not longer to actually be effectiive.
Oh, and modern IR missiles are immune to it as well.
Not this incredibly lazy and half-assed implementation they have now.
they plan to give the AH-1Z a new upgrade with both JAGM-MR and AIM-9X for brevity not a gradual upgrade
