“Pravda Vítězí” Flag, Tobruk 1941

TL;DR:
Flag.

Overview:
Pravda Vítězí, Czech for “the truth prevails,” was the national motto of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic today. It originated in the Czechoslovak independence movement during WW1, and was part of the presidential standard. After 1938 and the occupation of Czechoslovakia, Czechoslovak troops in exile that fought for the Allies commonly used this motto. Notably the WW2 Czechoslovak medal for bravery features this motto on its obverse.

After the Siege of Tobruk, the participating Czechoslovak 11th Infantry Battalion made and posted a flag featuring the motto and the national coat of arms onto the message board in their army camp. This flag survived the war, and today can be found at the Army Museum Žižkov in Prague.
