Curious about yall’s opinion on if the czech Gripen C should be added to Sweden as an event vehicle. Sweden only lends them to czech air force so it makes sense not to be in the russian or any other tree since it’s still swedish aircraft. Though it would technicaly be a copy paste aircraft, because it would stay in swedish tech-tree it wouldn’t be a problem imo. Also it would give us a cool vehicle to grind for in general. It would be nice to see a tech-tree variant of it but I don’t think there really is a place to put it in. I don’t really think Gaijin would do this but I’m just intersted in everyone’s opinion.
I think a Czech skin would be better for an event or something like they do occasionally for Polish vehicles.

Sure. I wouldn’t need to grind Sweden or Japan or Italy to play with Gripen :D

Give it a bit with how poorly yhe JA37Di has been selling they’ll add a prem Gripen soon enough

Im not aware of any unique upgrades or ordnance on our gripens, so what point would be to such event vehicle?
It would be copypasted C, which can be simply covered by skin.
Fun fact, theres already czech skin for Gripen, but its on the SA one IIRC.
For future Czeckoslovak tech tree, or sub tree if it ever comes

That would be the best but more like a wish than reality. The sub-tree would make sense to be in USSR, but some of the vehicles that could be there are already as premiums (L-39 or the Su25K). They could add the newer ones, like slovak Mig-29 or F-16 and czech Gripen. I don’t really see that coming because that would just make a lot of people mad because russia would be getting advanced west-NATO fighters. Could be Germany but I feel like the Sweden is the most logical. I would love to se czechoslovak sub-tree (I myself am from Czechia) but Gaijin makes it kinda obvious that they’ll just keep adding our vehicles as premiums or smth else.
I think it’s just a matter of time when it comes because I feel like Gaijin is just gonna take any oportunity to add copy+paste vehicles since it brings them money for little effort. I’m from Czechia too so I just want our Gripen to be in the game somehow and if it just stays as an event, I think people would be much happier than if it was be a premium.
That’s what I’m afraid of. As a new player I spent a lot time grinding the Swedish tree F2P purely for the Gripen. I’m still not quite there but if they’d just add my country’s Gripen as a premium I’d feel like the whole grind was a waste of time. Though knowing Gaijin it is very much possible.
well that woul be good for players like me who is only good in ground. The snail would probably nerf it a bit the prmnium gripen c, but if it has a cas loed out, i would definty buy it

Czechoslovakia does have enough to be its own stand alone nation, only problem being that their limited by a lack of a top tier MBT.
I could see Czechoslovakia being added to Poland if that ever happens, both countries have over all good relationships, far better than the one with the USSR, we have co-operated on making vehicles togather in the past, and we still co-operate closely togather. It would also be the better option as Poland would give the Czechoslovak sub tree more space to grow, if it doesn’t get the usual sub tree treatment.
Well they are also confirmed to not be a sub-tree to the USSR, we can cross our fingers and hope for the best
